Still, she couldn't believe she allowed her boss into her house and to take her home. What was even more surprising was now he was giving her a ride to work. Her brother had gotten her car all fixed up, though questioning how she had gotten home and Jacqueline did not what to be honest about that one.

Stating that she let her boss take her home and he even got a little worried about that situation. It wasn't the best idea in the world, but it was the only one.

"You leaving for work?" Two girls came down the stairs, meeting Jacqueline in the kitchen as she was drinking her coffee.

"About to, waiting on my ride."

The twins booked looked at each other and then her. Both girls had short brown hair, blue eyes, they wore the exact same clothing and had almost the exact same attitude. Sometimes it was hard to tell them apart, but Jacqueline got rather good at that. She had raised them after all, there was no going around that.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" One asked, Dani.

"We heard your brought a man home." The other, Falan, commented.

Jacqueline coughed, putting her cup down and wiping her mouth. "What? Boyfriend? No, that... that was my boss."

Now both stared at her and then looked at each other as if they had no idea what they were supposed to say. Both were completely flabbergasted to say the least.

"You brought... your boss home?" Dani asked.

Jacqueline sighed, going to answer just as the doorbell rang and the dog started to bark. "I'm not talking about this with either of you. At all. Ever." She grabbed her bag and walked for the door. Standing at the door was Randolph. Jacqueline could make him out through the glass in the door. Both twins followed her, standing down the hall, just staring at her as she opened the door.

"Ready to go, Jackie?" Randolph smiled, looking past her to see the twins who stared at him.

Jacqueline sighed and looked back at the twins. "Go to school, I'll be home later." She stepped out, squeezing past Randolph, shutting the door behind her. "I don't want to talk about it."

Randolph chuckled, leading her to his car and he opened the passenger door. "That eventful?"

Jacqueline shook her head, "something like that. I'm not sure I would call it eventful though."

Randolph shut the door behind her and got into the drivers side. "Should I even be asking?" He asked and Jacqueline shook her head no. He smiled, backing out of the driveway and driving towards Chastain. "Your kids?"

Jacqueline sighed, "yes, Danielle and Falan. They heard us last night and thought I had brought home a new boyfriend. All happy and giddy until I mentioned you were my boss." She shook her head. "I have an unwritten rule, don't date those you work with. They know that, but I imagine they're just fucking with me." She sighed, rubbing her face.

Randolph chuckled, focusing on the road while listening to her. "I see, well, they seem to be aware of your situation no matter what."

If that wasn't the truth, she wasn't sure what was. It was incredibly lucky that no one else saw them together. She didn't need the problems having just started her job. "I wish they weren't, I don't need the head ache from them."

To that, Randolph could only laugh. Her children seemed smart, but they seemed like they would be protective if their mother did ever end up seeing someone. For the rest of the ride, they were both silent. "Will you need another ride?" Randolph asked as they pulled into a spot in front of the hospital.

Jacqueline leaned back. Her brother had told her he had taken her car just to be sure they wouldn't have anymore problems from her sister if it happened to be her sister. They'd just get a new vehicle to be safe. That was another problem that Jacqueline didn't need and it was the worst time for any problems matter a fact.

"It is too much of an inconvenience?" Jacqueline asked.

Randolph smiled, "not at all. You don't live far from me and I'm more than happy to help."

The two smiled at one another and exited his car, shutting the doors behind them. Both walked alongside each other towards the hospital. Randolph looked at her, he did find her beautiful and the way she worked was mesmerizing. However, they had only worked together for a few days. Only time would tell how that would really pan out for the both of them.
