As dawn broke through the clouds, spreading its airy light, George sat up with a yawn and realised that he was the first one awake. Grinning and humming quietly to himself, he stood up and crept over to Dream, grabbing the pack that he always carried around, and dug through it until he found the food that he'd hidden in a secret pocket.

The Brit tore the packet open and started dumping the contents into his mouth, barely bothering to chew the somehow not stale pretzels as he ate them. Despite feeling a bit guilty for hiding the food, he knew that this was probably going to be the only thing that he ate for a while... In a new place, they had to be even more cautious than usual, and THAT meant not running into every building to search for edible food.

Sighing in content, he sat back and tossed the packet aside before leaning against one of the weathered walls covered in floral wallpaper that was peeling off in large rolls. The stench of rotting wood and decaying matter was almost overpowering, burning his nostrils, but he could bear it... Having been living in unsatisfactory places ever since the apocalypse started had its upsides, though, this was only because he continuously moved around and would sleep in the first safe area that he found.

Sometimes, though, the spots he had chosen weren't actually safe... Resulting in him having to wake up in the middle of the night just to fight off any infected that had found him, this left him wary and unwilling to stay anywhere that wasn't completely fortified or suspended. George groaned as he rubbed his head, remembering all of the times where he hadn't been careful enough... Surely, he should've been dead by now, yet he was somehow still walking...

Before he could fall deeper into the rabbit hole of memories, one of the others started to stir and slowly sat up, sleepily blinking their emerald eyes. Dream looked around, spotting George already awake and up, and gave him a friendly grin before shuffling over. "You're up early... You didn't stay up all night, did you?" He questioned, George just shook his head as he yawned again. "No... Just up early, I suppose."

"Well, as long as you got SOME sleep then you're probably fine," Dream laughed, nudging Sapnap with his foot, who just grumbled in return. The brunette snorted as he watched as Sapnap grumpily sat up, rubbing his warm honey eyes with balled up fists. "What is it..?," He huffed, glaring at the pair of them. "You'd better have a good reason for waking me up..."

"Yeah, I do, it's time to get your ass up because we're going exploring again." Dream replied, standing up and extending a hand to help the ebony haired man get to his feet as well. Once George was upright, Dream led the pair over to the door that they'd blocked up the previous night. "Has everybody got everything? We don't want to leave anything here, it'd suck to have to come back."

Sapnap glanced towards George, watching him nod, before quickly copying his actions. The blonde gripped the edge of the heavy shelf that they'd shoved in front of the door and pushed on it, having to strain to shove the thick mahogany away on his own. "There... Open..." He grunted, quickly clearing his throat before holding the door open for his two friends to exit.

George was the first to duck through the doorway, pulling the string of his bow back as he nocked an arrow, flicking his head swiftly from side to side. "Clear, let's go!" He said, slinging the weapon over his shoulder and rounding the corner to the stairs.

This city was strangely overgrown... VInes covering almost everything, plants growing out of impossible places, and an excess of bugs flitting around the literal jungle of a town. Sapnap took the lead once again, loosely holding his baseball bat as he strutted down the street in confidence, the other two just lagged behind a bit so that they could talk without devolving into a mess of a conversation, as the raveonette tended to derail even his own sentences without ever meaning to.

Suddenly, something swung out from the shadows of an old and rusted cherry-red impala, and Sapnap shrieked in a high pitched voice whilst impulsively swinging his baseball bat forwards, smacking something clean off of the shadowy figure. Dream and George both ran over to see what had happened, the blonde placing a hand on Sapnap's shoulder in worry. "You good, dude? What happened, was it a howler!?"

Sapnap shakily exhaled, still gripping the handle of the bat so hard that his bruised knuckles were turning white, and shook his fluffy hair out of his eyes. "No... I-I think that it was just a-a skeleton or s-something..." He whispered, trying to force an already anxious laugh, as he nudged the cracked skull now laying on the ground. "It must've been strung up in some of those vines," George added, kicking the rest of the corroded bones aside and continuing down the path. "C'mon, let's go, I think that I can see a mall just up ahead."

"A mall? That's GOTTA have TONS of supplies!" Dream cheered, racing off with Sapnap hot on his trail. "Hey! Don't just ditch me, you piece of shit!" The ebony haired boy giggled, easily passing by Dream and then, soon after, George. As the light wind ruffled his hair, Sapnap basked in the golden sunlight dripping over him like thick syrup, letting the warmth edge him on as it baked his downy black hair.

"NO FUCKING WAY, DUMBASS, I'M GETTING THERE FIRST!"
