Chapter one

I'm 17 and never in my life held a boy's hand romantically but i'm here giving love advice to my best friend Anika (who has a twin sister named Sophie), but hey, you know what they say, the coaches teach but don't play.

Me and Sarah (our other best friend) are 30 minutes in an argument with Anika trying to convince her to dump her boyfriend, Thomas, after she caught him texting another girl.

-What did the messages say?- I ask

-I only saw one message from the notification bar but it said "i'll see you tomorrow" with a heart right next to it but what really pissed me off was the fact that he got defensive and all and told me that she was just his lab partner in chemistry and that I was overreacting and shit.

- I say let's do this the Carrie Underwood style and dug our keys into the side of his pretty, little, souped-up four-wheel drive- Sarah says

We all couldn't help but laugh.

- That would be a good idea- I say- if he was cheating and this is not the case, Sarah. - even tho deep down i knew that those texts were fishy.

- Still, it's a good idea, and I don't like Thomas so why not? and besides we are in our senior year so we can blame it onto the senior pranks- Sarah says in the hopes that me and Anika would agree with her.

- No!- Anika and I affirmed at the same time, even tho my real answer would be "yes let's reck his fucking car because he is a shitty ass boyfriend and I can't stand seeing our best friend hurting do to his actions!".

- Bummer- Sarah says in an disappointed voice.

My phone buzzes at the same time that Anika is complaining about his behavior to the two of us and I go and check my phone and I see that it is a message from Mike, my boy best friend since kindergarten.

Mike: Hey, my mom just asked me to ask you if you wanted to have dinner with us since John is home early for spring break.

Damn i haven't seen John in ages

Me: Sure! Just let me warn my parents.

Mike: Okay! Be here by 6pm so we can all hang out before dinner.

I text my parents and turned off my phone but when I look up both Sarah and Anika are staring at me

Oh shit was I on my phone for too long?

-What?- i say confused

-Who were you texting?- they both say it with a grin in their face

-Omg I was texting Mike and my parents chill- I say- I'm 17 and no boy has ever texted me besides Mike, John and my father so they are not going to start texting now.

-Girl I have already talked to you about this, boys want what is easy and you ain't an easy girl to grab. Other girls are Walmart and you are Channel! - Sarah says in a sweet tone but encouraging at the same time.

-Yeah I totally agree! It's their loss not yours babe- Anika adds.

God how I love this girls

-You guys are right..- I say but deep down I still felt unloveable- look I have to go because John is in town earlier for spring break so the Smiths invited me to have dinner with them and told me to arrive at their house at 6pm.

-EWWWW THAT ASSHOLE IS IN TOWN?- Sarah asks flabbergasted- omg that's why I felt sick after lunch.

Anika and I bursted out laughing.

I totally forgot that Sarah hated John to his guts.

- He's a nice guy Sarah you just have to get to know him you know?- I say still laughing.

- Over my hot dead body- Sarah affirms with a disgusted face and crossing her arms.

-Well I really have to go girls but, Anika, I'll call you later to check up on you okay?- I ask felling both sad and revolted for what Thomas did to her.

-Okay girl have fun! - she says with a smile but i can see it in her eyes that she is sad.

-Bye girls! I love you all.

-Bye!! We love you too- they both say at the same time

With that I leave Sarah's house and go straight to Mike's.
