Silver's POV:
A middle aged woman with a summer dress opened the door. She immediately smiled on seeing me.
"Hi, I am Silver" I said waiting on the door step.
"Come on in silver”, she ushered me inside.
Then we entered the living room. It was really big for three people to live in. Mrs. Gates took a seat on the leather couch which was at the centre of the room.
"Take a seat honey", she asked me to sit on the couch next to her. "Silver, I am Makenna Gates and this is my husband Richard Gates." I turned to the way she pointed her hand to a handsome looking man coming from a room which was probably the kitchen.
Mr. Gates sat to next to her wife and smiled at me. He was gifted with the perfect body structure which spoke of virility and robustness, both of them made a cute couple together.
"So Silver, as we spoke on the phone, can you spare two hours for this job after your school?” asked Mr. Gates
"Yes, Mr. Gates I can baby sit your child from 5 to 7 in the evening." I replied back.
"That sounds perfect as Jake has his extra curricular classes till 4:30 and we need someone who can be at home after his classes"
Jake. Nice name. "You should meet him Silver. He is a naughty kid. But I assure you that he will not bother you much, if he finds a friend in you." Mrs. Gates told in an assuring tone.
"I think I can handle that", I replied in a confident tone, suddenly the front door opened and a boy walked in with a skate board in his hand. He had aqua blue eyes just like his mother. You could find a hint of mischievousness in his eyes blended with sincerity. His cheeks were a shade of pink and his blond hair was straight and it ended just above his eyebrows. He could easily make into a TV commercial because of his cuteness I thought.
"Jake, my boy, come here", his mother motioned him to sit beside her.
He gave me a shy smile and did as he was told.
"Jake, she is Silver. She will be taking care of you when mom and dad are at work, in the evenings." Mr. Gates explained him the reason of me being here.
"I am sure Jake and I will have lot of fun skating, won't we Jake?" I tried to make the little boy comfortable by starting a conversation. His eyes lit up with excitement as I mentioned skating.
"You know how to skate"? He asked, with his face filled with curiosity.
"Yes, I do"!
He gave me an ear to ear grin, turned towards his mom and asked, "Mom is Silver coming tomorrow to take care of me"?
Mrs. Gates laughed and said that I will be coming tomorrow to take care of him. After the timings and the salary were decided, we talked about other extraneous things. Jake and I got together pretty easily, which was not something I expected. While we were talking, Mrs. Gates offered me some chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious would be the understatement of the year.
The second I took a bite of it, I got that heavenly feeling. The cookie melted in my mouth and my taste buds got me thinking of the Hershey Park, Pennsylvania. It was filled with molten chocolate and warm chocolate chips.
"mmmmm so good" I managed to blurt that out whilst having the cookie.
"Yeah, they really are scrumptious." Mr. Gates said having a bite from his cookie.
"Silver, you looked like a model from a TV commercial who is hired for tempting the audience with rich and lush cookies." Mrs. Gates said laughing heartily. I had a hysterical laugh hearing this.
