Mr. Barty paces back and forth, explaining further what I would aide the champions in.

Although I was technically still in the competition, it was a far better substitute than being in the competition itself. It was also a good opportunity to learn more about Viktor, Cedric, and Fleur.

"In regards of the first task, you must keep this in total secrecy. Failure to do so will lead you to expulsion."

Mr. Barty snaps at me in hopes to intimidate me, and he did a great job doing so. "Do. You.  Understand?"

I straightened up my posture and nodded, afraid that I'd do something wrong.

"The first task, the second, and the third. Only you and I know of it. You can only help the contestants four days before the task." His curt voice rang around the empty room.

"The first task will help you further understand and test your own daring. As an aide, you are also subject to testing the task before anyone else can." My eyebrow raised, I thought I was excused from all the possible deaths that await me. I was wrong.

"Of course, it is only to insure our champion's safety and which precautions we can further recognize. It is also to educate you in aiding your peers to the right path," he explains, still pacing forwards and backwards.

"However, for the first task, you will be aided by Charles Weasley as you go further." A Weasley I've never met. This should be exciting.

"Your mission is to walk past an assigned dragon. Mister Weasley will note all the details you may need. You will hold onto what you discover at the end of the test." I nod, mentally noting his words. I know I'd eventually forget anyways, so luckily I had Charles to help me remember.

"The second task will commence right after the first's end. What you received during the first task will help you, however, this time there will be no help. It is all you." I didn't like how discreet his explanation was versus the first. His voice becoming more serious.

When Mr. Crouch rambles more about the second task, it dawned to me how serious these were and I was the very first to take a chance at it. It frightened me. Who in Merlin's Beard wanted me of all people to participate?

"And last but not least, the third task. This is to be taken after the official second task finishes. However, unlike your second task, this will not give you a hint or a clue as the first did. Instead, this will challenge you to peer into yourself and your own wit," he said in a stern voice.
