what am i doing ?(chapter 8)

as you and toji were in the car, you started to think about what this meant. i mean when it really came down to it this was your best friend bad after all.

you turned away from the dashboard and looked out the window, thinking about your life and ... your mom, your mom had a sickness the was slowly getting worse. before you met toji, you would spend your days looking after your mom and making sure she was your okay throughout the day. now that you look at it your mom was always there for you she was the one that was there for everything : birthdays, holidays, sport games, she would even spend the money she needed for her medicine just to make sure you had something for Christmas. she is a great mom and you would do anything for her.

you felt your face and noticed that there were tears running down your face. you didn't even notice because you were lost in a train of thought, before you could wipe them with the sleeves of your sweater toji handed you a handkerchief. "why are you crying mama?" he said looking at you for a second before putting his eyes back on the road. "its nothing i was just thinking about some things" you say as you take the handkerchief he offered and wipe your face.

"are we almost there yet? you said it was an hour away not 100" you said as you recline the seat back and lay down since you were feeling tired. and you laid down and took a nap since you knew that toji was just stalling on purpose.

A/N : this is the longest chapter in the whole series lmao.. but i want to say that to all the people who this chapter might have related to i am sorry, but it doesn't matter if you grew up with one parent or no parents that doesn't make you different from others you are not alone in this world there will come a time when you are at peace in with your life it might take a while but you will get there i love you so much and am so proud of you for trying your best in case no one told you today 🙏🏼 💟
