Gus'POV
We head to Matt's house and he knocks as he forgot his keys!
"FFF--- I FORGOT MY KEYS"Matt said searching in his bag.
"Uhhhh you good Matt's?"I said to Matt unsure on what to do since Willow never forgets her keys,Luz doesn't need keys cause of hooty and Amity just knocks and an abomination answers.
"Yeah- Im good just frustrated."Matt replied back his face slightly red but he didn't look mad he looked...shy?
I moved closer to Matt's face.
"Why are you blushingggg?"I said in a teasing tone.Matt turned his head to me OUR FACES ARE SO CLOSE TOGETHER.Matt realised this and looked down again redder then ever!Now i have to say I'm flustered too but Matt is reallyyy red.
"Anyways Matt,why did you turn red?"I asked curious now since he never answered last time.
"I guess it was the nickname Matt's,and it coming from you"Matt replied going quieter at the end as he went into his hood.
"Should i not call you Matt's?"I asked tilting my head at the other boy.
"What?No it's fine!It just caught me off guard that's all!"He replied face less red and more rosy pink .

We got to Matt's house and he knocked on the door.A tall guy answers and he seems to be in  his early 20s and he has a horn like Matt!
"Hey Matt!Mom called me and told me about the sleepover so i got some snacks for you and your friend!"The guy replied i saw him around Matt's house every so often and he said hi to Matt sometimes but I never saw him up close.
"Thanks Steve and also my friend here is Augustus."Matt said.
"But people often call mr Gus!"I chimed in.
"Ohhh your the one Matt brings snacks for at that thing you do on Saturdays its like a routine what is it-?"What Steve said made Matt blush a little.
"Well asides from that im gonna get soee stuff from my room- Byeeee!"Matt said getting out of the situation.Steve looked behind him to make sure Matt was gone and said.
"Dont hurt Matt he doesnt have many friends and he's a nice guy when you get to know him and im sure you know that by now you have known him for two years so if you just ghost him it wont end well."
"I wont Matt's really nice andi don't want to abandon him anyways i wouldn't do that he's cheered me up when i was sad too i wouldn't leave someone that would do that for me!" I replied then i saw Matt behind Steve and he was bright red and honestly so was I.Matt said bye to Steve and grabbed my hand and ran a bit we slowed down and were just walking.i pressume he didn't realise we were holding hands but i didnt mind.
"Did you mean what you said?"Matt askedi went redder then i was before.
"You heard my little rant?Well to answer your question..yeah i did i meant every word of it you have just been so nice to me i almost dont get it!"I replied going on another mini rant face as red as a tomato.
"No i dont understand why 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 so nice to 𝙢𝙚 i mean your literally a prodigy,your super nice to everyone,you help people,you helped Luz save the demon realm for titan sake your famous!Your the kindest personni have ever met and you have gone through so much and i just inconveinieced you but you still wanted to be my friend you still wanted to hang out with me it makes no sense im not as amazing as you,Luz,Amity,Willow or Hunter!Im just sorta there causing dome inconceinience.."Matt said and it broke my heart to hear this.Is this what he thinks of himself?I gave him a tight hug and said
"You are not inconveinient,your not just there you are my friend and i will never leave you!"I said to himmy face red as i was hugging the shorter boy and he hugged back.We stayed liee that for a while Matt letting a few tears escape his eyes.
"Hey lets  get going to mine."I said and we walked to my house and we talked we talked about our interest and my heart fluttered seeing Matt so excited over magic he found it so interesting and he knew alot about it!Watching his eyes light up when he talked and him giving small examples  of construction magic and how enthusiastic he was about it and the excited look on his face made my heart flutter.I let him rant it was nice him being excited over something was nice.

"Hey Gus was i talking for too long?You seem kinda like you zoned out."Matt said snapping me back to reality.
"No dont worry you werent talking for too long i was just sorta try keep up!"I said to Matt as we came near my house.
"Oh was i talking too fast?If so im sorry!"Matt said apologetically.
"What no its fine!Talk at whatever pace your happy about you seem very interested in magic!Oh theres my house!"I said before grabbing Matts hand and dragging him there.

I put the key into the keyhole and opened the door and my dad was in the sitting room and he gave me a look and a look at Matt then our hands.Once i realised i was still holding Matts hand i pulled away with red blush dusted on both of our faces.
"Sorry!"We both said in sync.
"ahem"My dad said announcing he was still there.
"well you must be Mattholomule!"My dad said yet again then i shot him a look as if to say "dont say it".Because if Matt knew i talked about him to my dad i would die just flat out cardiac arrest and die.
"Well we are gonna head up to my room and do something-!"I said dragging Matt up the stairs trying to not give my dad time to "talk" to me like Steve did i mean Steve is chill he just cares for Matt which i totaly understand.We got up to my room and i knew i was still holding his hand but i didnt let go because it was nice holding Matts hand was nice.

we were sitting on my bed just chatting and i still held his hand his hsnds were cold but warmed up to the heat of my handswe sat there.Talking and holding hands it felt perfect,until Matt noticed i knew he would just not so soon.Then i realised we were talking for half an hour it felt like five minutes.
"GAH!SORRY GUS"Matt said pulling his hand away with a red faceand sorta holding it for a few seconds after with his head pointed down.
"Its fine!I didnt mind!"I went red as soon as i realised whst i just said.
"You- didnt mind?"Matt said looking up at me with a red face.
"i mean uhm no i didnt mind"I said looking away due to embarrassment.
Matt gently put his hand on mine looking away but i could see the blush on his ears.

we were both sitting there blushing messes for a few minutes until my dad walked in.
"Hey boys do you want fo-OH Auhm bad time?Ill come back later-"my dad said.
"Well that happened"I say to Matt.
"Yup im really making a good first impression on your dad-."Matf replied sarcastically.
"Well uhmm wanna watch a movie?"I ask trying to change the topic.
"Yea sure!"Matt said grabbing the remote with a smile and passingbit to me.
"Horror?" I suggested (you already know where this is going)
"Yeah sure!But uhmm..full disclosure i get scared at jump scares quite a bit-"Matt said with a slightly embarrassed look painted on his face.
"Okay lets pick a random one then!"i said.We picked a random one and Matt wound up clinging to me at the jump scares.We ended up both falling asleep on the bed with Matt in my arms.
