Freen opened a drawer in her study and took out a thick book.
After flipping through a few pages, she stopped. Her eyes were fixed on a photo hidden in the book pages. Looking at the photo silently, Freen was somewhat depressed.
"Is she still alive?"
The door of the study room suddenly came open. Freen closed the book and looked up unpleased.
"Saint Suppapong, when will you learn to knock before opening the door?" Freen said with some reluctance when she clearly saw who the intruder was.
"When you have a boyfriend I will learn to knock. But I think, you can't have one because you're into girls right?" He said with a cynical smile. His hands were shoved in his pockets and his amorous eyes were half shut.
"Why are you here?" Regardless of his ridicule, Freen put down the book and asked indifferently.
"Do you think I wanted to come?" Saint pulled out a chair and sat down. "It was my father who asked me to come. He wanted to know what you were planning with this event. Do you really want to have a child now or do the elders of the family want to have grandchildren? If the reason is the latter, are you doing this to piss them off?"
Saint was not the polite type but Freen had become accustomed to his language.
Freen's eyes turned darker. "You only see half of the picture."
"What?" Saint looked at him surprisingly. He pondered for a while and asked suspiciously "Freen, are you lonely or are you ready to make some big moves? You have to inform me if anything is about to happen to Chankimha Family Group. As a strategic partner in your family business, we Suppapong Family will not back down before we got what we want!"
Freen twitched her lips. "Just think I am lonely this time."
"What the hell is going on?" Saint looked at her intensely and stopped with his joking attitude. "Freen, I know that the old folks in Chankimha Family always want to put their sons and even their daughters on you, but you aren't the kind who will be subject to anyone. You are not doing this thing for a simple reason!"
"You are thinking too much." Freen calmly opened the drawer and planned to put the book back inside.
Saint's eyes glimmered. As far as he noticed, Freen had not moved her fingers off on that book since he came in.
Saint suddenly reached out his hands and grabbed the book with his lightning speed.
"Hey you..." Freen was somewhat helpless.
She let her guard down for a second and Saint stole the book in her hand. It was too late to take it back now.
"I wonder what is inside in this book since the honorable Freen cares about it so much." Saint soon turned to the page where the photo was hidden. Saint's smile gradually disappear the the moment he spent looking at the photo.
"Is this..?" Saint was astounded. "So, you pulled all of these string just to find her?"
"Well, sort of." Freen sighed with her eyes looking down. She did not deny anything.
"The thing was like from the last century." Saint let out a deep sigh. "Is she even still alive?"
Freen shook her head slightly "I have no idea, but as long as her body wasn't found I will not given up."
"I understand." Saint looked down and think for a while. "I remember the time that I was engaged to her."
"You?" Freen's eyebrows suddenly raised. "Don't even think about it."
"You think I wanted that? My engagement to her was determined by our two families when she was born." Saint looked at Freen with odd expression.
"Hey Freen, what is that look on your face? We are atleast good buddies right?"
"Just because we are good buddies does not mean I can let you lay your hands on her." There was a bit of seriousness in Freen's eyes.
"Good buddy." Saint glance at her with a grudge. "What if you can't find her in the end? what would you do?" He then put away his ridicule.
"I will play my part and let the God decide the rest." Freen said simply. "You should keep this a secret."
Saint reach out his hand and patted Freen on the shoulder."Rest assured Ms. President."
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and Heng's voice came from the other side of it. "Lady Freen."
Saint went to the door and opened it for Heng. Then he turned around to Freen. "I'm leaving now. I hope you find her soon!"
Freen nodded.
When Saint left, Heng moved closer to Freen.
"Lady Freen, I have the information on the thing you asked me to look at." Heng stated.
"What thing?" Freen asked curiously.
"The thing last night my Lady." Heng was a little embarrassed that Freen didn't remember. "The person who put things on top of your car." Heng continued. "Her name is Becky. A student in Rangsit University."
Freen felt a little amused. She finally understood what Heng was talking about.
The situation where the woman made happy while her on the other hand, was felt really angry. But after a night, her anger was all gone and she already forgot about it.
It was in a moment of anger that she asked for Heng to find out the woman's information. She would not really make a big deal with a little girl.
Freen was trying to speak but Heng continued "I also found out that Becky has signed up for this surrogate mother's preliminary selection."
Suddenly, She wanted to see the look of Becky's face when she found out she was the Freen Chankimha who was inviting her to be a surrogate mother to her child.
Surprised?
Ashamed?
Or would she become one of her fans like any other girls.
"What time is she taking part of the preliminary selection?" she ask after a while.
"Tomorrow, My Lady." Heng was a little surprised. "The venue for her group is at your hotel Lady Freen. Do you need me to arrange a trip?" He continued.
Freen laugh out. She did take advantage of me, but that was not enough for her to foster hatred.
"No need for that." Freen said with one hand on her forehead "This is a closed matter."
Heng looked at Freen suspiciously. He had a hunch that this thing was just getting started.
