An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break.-Chinese Proverb

PRESENT DAY
A young woman with dark brown hair sat in a classroom full of third year high school students. Her teacher completed roll call and imparting words of wisdom in a dull voice.
Only one week to go until graduation from this place with fellow classmates and out into the outside world.
She looked put over the field and saw a blue outline resembling a fish with many eyes and legs swimming in and out of the short green grass and around one of the goal posts.
She could only sense death from it. As it turned its head her way, she averted her gaze back to the whiteboard.
That was close. She thought.
It was not the first she'd seen those grosteque creatures that wondered around. As long as remembered, always been there. Wherever she goes. She avoided them like the plague. Acting like they were invisible.
After class is finished. She headed off to the cafeteria for lunch.
"Mirai-san, oh hiyo." Mirai turned her soft lavender eyes to younger teen with a smile on his face.
"Oh hiyo to you too, Itadori-kun." The girl known as Mirai replied with a small smile and waved back. They started up a small conversation. It was nice weather outside today and an upcoming graduation.
The boys name was Itadori Yuji. A teen with had pink hair on top and shaved black underpart. He wore a bright yellow hoodie that was size too big, but he pulled it off with blue pants and white sneakers.
How the school allowed him exception to wear casual wear to school was a mystery.
He was an underclassman who had moved to our high school while back. He was athletic but was committed to joining the occult club and dedicating their time research to supernatural and paranormal phenomena.
In the early years, they tried to recruit Mirai, but she kindly turned it down in favour of another club.
She'd reached the last part of high school, she had passed down the torch to new first years, and resigned from club.
She'd put her all into completing the third year and prepare for the move soon.
Mirai heard he had a relative and sole guardian who had recently been admitted to the hospital due to declining health. The man was stubborn and refused any visits from him. Didn't have much time left.
She put a comforting hand on his shoulder, a clock ticking in her ear, drawing her into a blur of colours and sounds flashed across her vision, and focused.
An outdoor cabinet opening.
Loss.
A stranger with dark spiky hair.
