The days that came after was pure torture. The mark was painful and itchy but nothing could hold a handle to the ache in his chest.
For almost five days the near constant throbbing of his heart managed to divert him from the shooting pain he had whenever he turned his head around.
And on the second week, jimin woke up to find the mark an angry red, the skin around the wound heating up by the second that soon spread to his body.
Clutching his neck as the pain intensifies, jimin has to forcefully wipe his eyes to get rid of wetness to clear his vision and focus on the flesh of his neck in the mirror.
The blurriness cleared to show black thin lines with small branches that ran down the entirety of one side of his neck and disappeared down into the collar of his shirt.
Jimin was too afraid to pull down his shirt and know how much it went down.
He couldn't even find it in himself to think about the empty eyes that stared back at him as if he was a stranger.
With a hand that held his neck, jimin stumbled back into his room, legs giving away at his bathroom's doorstep, letting himself sink into the floor.
Allowing his head to fall back against the wall with a dull thud that resonated in his room, jimin didn't hear his balcony door sliding open and a worried taehyung rushing to his side in a frenzy.
The hybrid was on his knees by jimin's side, gently cupping the back of his head with large palms, his other hand softly prying off the death grip he has around his neck and for a second it felt alright, that having taehyung by his side helped to soothe the fever and pain his body was being subjected to even though jimin would absolutely hate to admit this out loud.
Amidst all the fussing taehyung created around him like grabbing him gently with a hand around his hips to hoist him up, maybe to get him away from the cold floor, to holding his chin to raise his head that hung down in order to make him look up into the hybrids warm eyes that pooled with a vulnerability jimin was afraid was for his wellbeing.
The tears in his eyes weren't helping, streaming down as an endless flow and wetting the side of his shirt, taehyung's too, and long fingers were stroking them away from his cheeks.
His knees were buckling under him but taehyung was holding onto him firmly, not allowing him to crash and as much as the thought scared him, jimin was too out of it to push taehyung away.
Because it was the first time in two weeks his heart didn't hurt like hell.
Because taehyung was here and the hybrid was holding him like he was the world for him.
But did he feel the same way for taehyung?
He doesn't know.
Taehyung brought their foreheads together with a hand around his nape, the hybrid's eyes slipping shut and the sigh he exhaled warming up jimin's lips.
