Y/n's POV~
It's Tuesday, Kylie, and I normally grab lunch together on Tuesdays. However, she hasn't called me or answered my calls or messages since before I filmed the podcast yesterday with Snow and Lauren. I uploaded it to my podcast page this morning, and of course, fans have been going wild with edits. Particularly, little clips of Lauren and I are looking at each other. Like... when someone is speaking to you, you are supposed to look at them and listen. I message Kylie once more, figuring that she's busy at her Kylie cosmetics office. I told her that I ordered her her favorite lunch and that it would be there soon. Even if she doesn't see the message, she'll still get the food. I message Justin, Devin, and Zayn to see if they want to come over and shoot hoops. The three of them agree as it is never like them to turn down a game. I get changed into a pair of basketball shorts. I made sure to put on a pair of compression boxers so my guy is not flapping everywhere. Then, I pull on an athletic sports bra before putting on some more deodorant and cologne. I change shoes and then head outside to my basketball court that's beside my garage. I brought my speaker out so that way we could play music. As I'm setting up the speaker and connecting it to my phone. The guys all shoot texts into our group chat, saying that their girlfriends are coming with them. Hailey, Kendall, and Gigi. That's weird because if Kendall and Hailey aren't working, then they are usually with Kylie at Kylie's Cosmetics. I shrug it off and turn on some music before grabbing my ball and start shooting a couple of shots. "Not you having your body out like that." I hear Kendall teasing. I turn around to find the three women and their guys coming down the steps. "I thought you had lunch with Kylie on Tuesdays?" Zayn asks, confused. We've never shot hoops on Tuesdays when they would ask because every Tuesday I'm with Kylie during lunch. "I guess she's busy or something, I just had some lunch sent to her." I say, shrugging my shoulders. Out of the corner of my eye, I catch the girls eyeing each other. Kendall is quick to start texting someone on her phone. "My fiancée said I'm not allowed to ask, but what's up with you and Jauregui?" Justin asks. Hailey is quick to glare at him. "Nothing is going on with Lauren and I... is this what's going to happen any time I have a female that isn't Snow or Flecher on my podcast?" I question. They all look at me and nod their heads, making me groan. The four of us start a 2v.2 game, Devin and I against Justin and Zayn. The last game we played it was Zayn and Devin against Justin and myself. As we go on shooting, all of us are making points and blocking points from being made. We take a break about an hour in as we are tied once again. I go into my garage, grabbing some waters out of my mini fridge. I bring the guys out some and then give the girls each one. They are sitting in the shade up against the side of the garage. Between the garage and the court. I didn't notice an extra person until I got close to them. Kylie is sitting with them, talking about something. They all get quiet when they notice me approaching. I had them all a water and turned away, going back in my garage to grab another since I technically gave Kylie mine. I drink it slowly as I make my way back to the guys. "Something wrong with you and Kylie?" Devin asks me. "I'm honestly not even sure." I say, letting out a frustrated sigh. "Maybe she's upset about you filming with Lauren." Zayn comments, looking as if he wasn't supposed to say that. Devin and Justin both chuckle, Justin saying, "You're going to get us into trouble with our girls." I look at the three of them confused and wondering what the hell they are talking about. "What do you mean by that?" I ask. "Look, you didn't hear it from us, but since the night of the club, the girls have been nonstop talking about you and Kylie." Devin says. "Talking how?" I question. "All we can say is, why do you think we've all been asking about what's going on with you and Lauren?" Justin says/questions. I look at them confused, but then it all starts to click. The whispering, all the comments from her sisters. Kendall defending that I'm single, fans defending that I'm not with Lauren, that I'm cheating on Kylie. "Unbelievable." I scoff, shaking my head. "I forfit the game, sorry D." I say. I grab my phone from the speaker and disconnect the Bluetooth. I head inside my house and up to my room to get showered. As I'm grabbing clean clothes from my closet, I hear Kylie calling my name. Before I can say anything, she's standing in the doorway of my closet. A smile on her face as if nothing was going on. Yet, according to the guys and with all the whispering, it's hard to believe that nothing is going on. 'Play it cool, Y/n.' I tell myself. "Hey." I say softly. "I'm sorry I haven't been able to get back to you." She says. "It's okay, Kylie. I figured you have had a lot of work to do today." I say, rummaging through my shirts. I'm not really making eye contact with her, which is rude. "Hey... what's wrong?" She asks, concerned laced in her voice as she comes closer to me. Wrapping her arms around my sweaty torso. "Nothing, Kylie. I'm going to take a shower." I say. "You mad at me." She mumbles. "No, I'm not mad... at you. I'm mad that we live in a society where nobody can ever just have a friend without someone trying to come along and say that they are more than that." I state. She steps back and looks up at me, so I hold eye contact with her. "Is this about Lauren?" She asks. "Snow, Flecher, Lauren... and now you." I mumble. She looks taken back for a moment before eventually ducking her head. Her eyes are not meeting mine anymore. "The only difference between them three and you is that... I'm not so sure that what everyone is saying and suggesting is all just hearsay." I say. Waiting for a reaction from her, listening for her to say something, and watching her body language. "Your sisters make some comment, and you either pull me closer or push me away. Kendall is so adamant about making sure nobody thinks I'm in a relationship." I add, shaking my head. "So you tell me, Kylie, what's going on?" I ask.
