Nova was staring intensely at the table in the Great Hall, the first evening back of her 6th year, trying to drown out the piercing noise of chatter and laughter from her peers.
"Nova. Eat something please." Regulus Black uttered carefully.
"Yeah, Star. A growling stomach won't do you no good now, would it?" An overly happy Evan said, with a shit-eating grin on his face.
Not before glaring softly at Evan, Nova scooped a small portion of tomato pasta into her bowl and started to take small bites. Her comfort meal.
"How did you find getting to the platform, Nova?" Regulus questioned.
"Not too bad, thank you."
That was all she managed to say, preferring to listen in on her friend's conversations then take part.

Glancing around slowly, Nova took notice in the rowdy, well known group of Marauders in Gryffindor. She must admit she was jealous of how outgoing they seemed to be. All she wanted was to be able to as care free as they are.
She realised she was staring longer then she wanted to as hazel eyes clashed into her deep blue ones.
Remus Lupin's scarred face was staring into her own.
Awkward. She thought hurriedly.
Looking away she continued to crack small smiles at Evans jokes for the rest of the feast, yet couldn't help but feel a burning gaze on her face from a jealous Regulus.
