Salem sat in his "uncles" house on the couch smoking a fat blunt he just rolled while watching family guy with low red eyes. His brother sat next to him on his phone texting his girl.
"Yo Destiny said they having some party tonight you wan' swing ova there later" Yoshon asked his brother. Salem didn't really like going out or being social.
The only time he was out of the house was either to get new weed or to see if he pick up 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭.
Salem, his brother, and "uncle" have been on land quite a while. It was hard for them to get use to them being on land for the first time but they've learned to adapt to it. They had no other choice to because it was Salems order. Him along with his mate was the hope for their people so they had to find her before it was too late.
"No" He said not even hesitating to answer.
"Come on your being so lame this a party bro. We never been to one imagine tryna have a party underwater" Yoshon really wanted to go to that party. He was excited about being in the human world and experiencing all the stuff he couldn't do because he lived in the ocean.

Yoshon rolled his eyes and texted destiny back he would pull up on her at the party that night along with his brother.
He was gonna find a way to convince him to go. He was thinking of a little blackmail and hoped Salem wouldn't be to mad.
Salem scratched his neck where there was dead skin starting to fall off and redness under it.
Yoshon noticed and lifted his grey sweatpants showing it to his brother.
Once Salem noticed his leg they both had the same thought in mind

The first time a siren is out of water they could only last a day until they become a dehydrated fish. Their skin starts to peel in patches around their body and they develop a shortness of breath until eventually if they don't go back to the water they die.
