Chapter 26 - Falling

Lily's point of view

I wake up to a loud thump beside me. I look over and realize Jamie isn't there. "Owww." He mumbles.

"Did you just fall out of bed?" I ask Jamie, while laughing.

"Maybe..." He says standing up to get back into bed. I laugh at him and he just pulls me into him. I look at the clock, and i realize it's like 6 in the morning.

"How'd you ev-" i start but i'm cut off by someone barging in my room.

"WHOS IN HERE?" Jack yells. He has one of his old sticks in his hand.

"Woah Jamie just rolled off of the bed on accident. It's fine. Go back to bed." I tell him. He just nods his head sleepily and turns to leave. Jamie and i laugh at him once he's gone. "Okay as i was saying. How'd you fall off the bed?"

"I don't even know." He says laughing slighting. I just laugh at him. He pulls me closer to him and we fall back asleep.

I shoot up, panicked. I realize someone is next to me, but it's not Jamie. I'm not in my childhood room. Where am i? I'm looking around and I don't recognize my surroundings. Until it clicks. I'm in Toronto. Auston and i met up. Oh fuck no.

I look over and see him sleeping next to me. I get up and try to leave, but he's in front of me almost immediately.

"Where are you going?" He says.

"I uh- i gotta get home." I say.

"This is your home." He says.

"I need to get back to California. Jamie and Trevor are waiting for me."

"Jamie? He died in that car accident, remember?" He says. No- no he didn't. What is he talking about?

"N- no he didn't. Auston, i gotta go." I say. There's no way Jamie is really dead. No way in the world.

I shoot up, panicked. I realize Jamie isn't next to me. I don't immediately recognize my surroundings, then i remember im back home in Michigan. Thank god.

I look at the clock and see it's 10:45. Why didn't Jamie wake me up? I roll out of bed and i change into presentable clothes, as in sweat pants and a sweatshirt. It's cold.

As i'm about to walk out of my room, Jamie walks in. "Hey babe." He says. Then kisses my forehead.

"Hi." I say smiling up at him. I'm still weirded out by the dream i just had, and i think he catches on to it.

"You okay?" He asks me rubbing my arms soothingly.

"Yea. I just had a weird dream." i say. I really don't want to talk about it. The fact that i just dreamt of being in the same bed as my ex, and my current boyfriend being dead? Yea no thanks. Don't wanna talk about that one.

"Wanna talk about it?" He asks me.

"Not right now. Later?" I say.

"Yea. We can do that." He says. I smile up at him.

"Lets go downstairs." I say. He nods his head and we walk out of my room. When we get downstairs, i see everyone surrounding the tv. Ethan and Adam pop up at the sound of us walking in.

"Finally she's awake." Luke says.

"Does this mean we can play that game i was promised?" Adam says.

"Can we switch teams? I want her on mine." Ethan says, winking at me. I laugh at the boy. Jamie just rolls his eyes and kisses me to piss him off. "Nevermind." Ethan mumbles rolling his eyes.
