After meeting you yesterday, Piers couldn't stop thinking about you. He hated that his mind did this, he meets one interesting person and then boom, like a little brain leech you're stuck there until he does something about it. Usually, his version of  "doing something about it" is to either ghost them, block them on everything, or just straight up try to scare them away. He knew he couldn't handle doing that to you, you were different. After all, you would be working closely with his sister, which in turn means he'd be working closely with you. Like all the time. He needed to figure this out.

He was laying on his bed, with his forearm raised and covering his eyes. He was running through every single scenario that he could induce for an excuse to see you. He knew he just needed to see you again and he'd be able to figure out how he felt. *right?* He kept thinking to himself about how pathetic he was, stressing over a person he literally talked to for 5 minutes, but of course, brain leech.

Suddenly, he has the genius idea to invite you to his concert, how could you turn that down? In a sudden surge of blind confidence he works up the courage to text you to invite you. He got the number from the league, seeing as he was an ex-gym leader he had connections. He also made sure to explicitly let the staff member he got it from that she could never mention that he asked for it. While he already felt bad about having to do it that way, he types out the message, but it takes a bit of staring at it to convince himself that it's good enough to send. His thumb hovers over the send button, and he forces himself to send it. As soon as he hears that the message sent, he throws his phone across the room and rolls onto his side, staring at the phone that probably cracked when it hit the wall, and flops right onto his face, he stays like that for a while. Why did he do that? Did you even like his music? Would she even know who you are? Stupid stupid STUPID.

He rolled back over, onto his back and grabbed his face, mad at himself for literally no reason.

oh shit

he needs to actually plan a concert

HE DIDN'T HAVE A CONCERT ALREADY HAPPENING??

bzzDING

"Message for Y/N!" Your rotom phone sang out.

What time was it? Why were you wearing business attire?? Who was texting you???

You groggily lift your head to look up at the small robotic Pokémon, which was now hovering in the air near your face. You went to check who it was, but you didn't recognize the number.

text message from XXX-XXX-XXXX: hey y/n, this is Piers. sorry ta text u outta the blue like this, but i was thinkin that maybe you'd like ta come to a concert of mine? ill send u the details once its all in place, ur tickets on me btw.

Piers? The guy who snapped you out of your daydream before your meeting? Wait. Back to the first question. What time was it? Your mind only got back to that when you snapped your head to the alarm clock on your nightstand beside you.

2 A.M.?? Why was this guy up texting you at 2 am?

You tried not to let that bother you, seeing as it would be rude to not reply now because you had already read the message, and he could see that too. You didn't want to give him the impression that you weren't interested, because you definitely did want to get to know him better, and it seemed like he was making an effort for the same goal. You shook the annoyance from your head, and reached up to grab the rotom phone out of the air so you could type your reply.

Realizing that he probably shouldn't have thrown his phone that hard, Piers finally got up off of his back and sat on the edge of his bed for a minute, before hoisting himself up and sauntering towards the wall that he had thrown his phone against. He picked it up, flipping it back and forth a couple times to ensure it wasn't damaged, he then looked at the back of it and saw the face, remembering it was still sort of a Pokémon, and whispered a quick "sorry" to those big glowing blue eyes and small white smile.
