"GET OUT OF BED NOW YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT!!" Jolting awake at the sound of her stepfathers screams and foot steps thumping up the stairs, Sapphire scurried out of bed and quickly threw on something to wear. It wasn't much mainly an oversized t-shirt and cloth shorts. She didn't even get the chance to make her bed by the time he had kicked in the door, she should have had open. "WHY WAS THE DOOR CLOSED?! GO MAKE THE BED THEN GO DO YOUR CHORES!" Although that was what she had been trying to do the moment she woke up, She still rolled her eyes at him. He had a habit of being very obvious, and she also didn't care much for the man, but being a child she had no say in things. The eye roll caught his attention, despite being drunk off his ass already. She hung her head down towards the floor while he stomped his was to her. Flinching as her arm was grabbed roughly he pulled her closer to him. "What was that you little brat? Do you want to be thrown out or do you need a punishment?" Sapphire had been so close to him she could smell the alcohol on his breath. It was horrendous and mixed with his morning bad breath, it made her want to vomit. Cowering away from him she tried to twist her arm free, but he had an iron grip on it. She didn't want to be punished, and she had now where to go. She She knew his punishments could vary but he was already drunk and pissed off so he would beat her again. Whimpering softly she went to go speak, but was immediately slapped across the face. Hanging there shocked she felt tears well up in her eyes "I-I'm s-sorry sir! It wont happen again!" Hearing her beg him he smiled a genuinely creepy grin, showing off his vey yellow and very decaying teeth, and let her go. "That's more like it. Behave more like that and Ill spoil you." That response further terrified her. She knew of what that entitled, and she didn't like it. It usually really hurt and made it so she couldn't walk the next day. So she quickly left that way there wasn't an opportunity for it to happen.
While walking down her stairs she suddenly felt wet, and cold. Looking over to the mirror that hung on the wall, she saw a horrifying image. She was sopping wet, hair matted and she was wearing a bloodied straight jacket. Crimson eyes stared back at her while her reflection grinned demonically. Screaming out she watched as things began to fade and blacken. It terrified her so badly she closed her eyes tightly and hugged herself. And yet when she opened her eyes this time she was in a white padded room. She was soaking wet and she watched as two guards laughed at her misery. With the fear quickly fading Sapphire realized she had merely been in one of her many nightmares. Instead of being at home, she was at Whisperwood Asylum. Managing to get up, she listened to the comforting rattling of the chains constricting her movements. Because of her very distinctive record of killing patients and staff, Sapphire, or better known as Patient 4729, was heavily sedated and restrained. But since she had been sleeping and the sedative had worn off by now she was much more...alive? The moment she had hd gotten up the two guards stopped laughing and looked terrified. With the sedative she usually couldn't even lift her head up let alone stand. And they hadn't brought anything with them. Their instructions had been to wake the sleeping beast. So seeing that fear, she inhaled deeply, the scent of their fear being intoxicating and fueling her next movements. She shifted her arms enough to snap the chains around her and when it all lay at her feet in pieces she began walking towards the two living blood bags. Laughing as she watched them scramble to get out of her cell she noticed that immediately her cell began to fill with a gas. She knew there was no fighting it. Even with the room completely filled it still took a while for her to go unconscious. While she got weaker, sleepier, she thought about her plans. She was growing tired of this everyday, for her whole life. She wanted freedom. And she was going to get it real soon. She had a plan and today was the day it was going to happen. Soon everything faded to black once more but this time, no dreams, no nightmares, just blackness.
