Months had passed after the incident with her mother and brother. She remained in the same spot the entire time. She barely spoke, she didn't eat, and whenever the Doctor came in shed lung after him. Several times he'd just narrowly avoid her fangs. She had this feral state of mind, and a horrible hatred for the doctor after forcing her to kill the only two good things on this earth. After all this time she still clung to her mothers corpse. By now it was decayed and almost a mummified skeleton. Her cell stunk from the decay, but she refused to move. She wanted to honor her family, and well, the last of her goodness. She hated herself for not being able to resist the blood lust. Lost in thought, Sapphire hadn't heard Gill coming into the cell. This was the first time that she hadn't lunged at anyone, and was perfectly still. "Uh..Hey Sapphire. I have dinner. I know you're not okay, but he said if you don't eat, he'll lock me in here too. I-it kinda smells.." His words made her look his way, and as her stomach grumbled she just stayed like that. She was like a mindless zombie. But the only thing even Gill could see was how broken she was, by looking into her eyes. They were filled with sadness. Like any certain kind of movement would shatter her into a million pieces.
She watched as Gill made slow and precise movements towards her, with a tray that had only a single cup on it. She already knew what it was. She smelled it before Gill had even entered the cell. And like a begging puppy she had let go of her mothers body and she raised her arms up. She was pleading for the cup. Her throat burned and she was so hungry. When she received it she tilted it over her open mouth and began messily gulping down the liquid. Most of it went in, but a lot did still spill down the front of her, adding to the dried blood of her brother and mother. When she was finished she let the cup drop to the floor and she resumed holding her mother. To her she could still see the beautiful non decayed form she once was. She was still stuck in the past. But in that moment the cell door creaked open, and there stood the Doctor, grinning down at the scene before him. The little broken vampire, and the guard he hired to keep her there. He specifically hired Gill because of how nice he was. He needed someone that she would trust.
He hadn't really moved for a few minutes, instead he had stood there watching his pet. He was so filled with pride, because of the way he had broken her. The next step was to make her his mindless killer puppet. It was his ultimate goal, after she declined his offer to be his mate. Taking a step towards her she hadn't even moved yet. No slight reflexes in her muscles, nothing. She wasn't even breathing. It seemed while Gill was in the room she was calm, and even docile. He was like an emotional support animal for her. Which he could use to his advantage. As he began to take out restraints specifically made for her this time, her head snapped towards the Doctor. The anger burning in her eyes in that moment got the blood to flow in her body. She dropped her mother and stood there ready to finally once and for all end his miserable life. But all he did was laugh softly. "Hey.. my little bird. I just wanted to take you outside for some air. You need to get out, you've been cooped up for months. But you're also dangerous. I can't have you just going on a rampage."
It was strange for the sudden niceness. To her she still had that gut feeling to not trust him, but it was so faint now, so she just relaxed and nodded. She was finally ready to leave this cell behind. She couldn't bear to relive that night over and over again. "Can I have more to eat too...?" "Of course my dear, you just have to be a good girl." By now the Doctor was in front of her and placing the pure silver shackles around her wrists. It burned her skin slightly causing her to flinch and whine a little. "They hurt..really bad and I feel woozy." Pouting her lips she looked up at him and tried to pry her wrists free. But she was unable to, she felt much weaker and had zero energy in that moment. "That my dear is silver, it's bad for us vampires. I found that out the hard way. It saps our powers away, and burns our flesh, hence why I'm wearing gloves. I just want to make sure you won't attack anyone." Watching him turn his back to her she looked down at her new shackles and sighed. At that moment she got a very bad feeling. Like what she had allowed to happen was a very bad choice. And she was right. Instead of being taken outside or even fed more, she was dragged down a very familiar hallway, despite her weak protests. She knew all too well what he wanted at that moment.
