After what felt like hours, Sapphire and her mother had gotten it all out. Both, her mothers hatred for her husband, and everything that had happened to Sapphire after being sent to the asylum. The whole time Sapphire had tried to remain calm, but there was just so much trauma and hatred that she couldn't stop herself from crying. It definitely startled her mother but she was still accepted despite finding out her daughter was now a thing of myths. A vampire to be exact. She still didn't know how to feel about it, but it was a second chance with her daughter. "Once again I'm so sorry baby. I shouldn't have let him convince me to send you away. I knew deep down he was lying, but I'm still very much to blame. I just hope you can forgive me." At first Sapphire didn't want to. It could be seen on her face that she was struggling to agree. Yet she thought about the warm hug. It was one only a mothers love can produce. Something that couldn't be faked. "Mom.. before I decide, answer this. How did you realize it was me?" "I overheard that bastard say those awful things. I didn't realize his true intentions. It sickens me to think about it." Sighing softly, Sapphire couldn't hold back the tears once again. Her mom really loved her still, and although she was angry for so long, she missed it deeply. She longed for the life that was taken from her. "I forgive you mommy... I missed this.." Being pulled into another loving hug, Sapphire buried her face into her mothers chest and that's how they fell asleep. That night, she truly got a good night's sleep, despite not needing it.

Days had gone by, the police came and went. Sapphire and her mother cleaned up the body, the blood, everything. The body was dumped at some bar. The story told to the police was that he had gotten drunk and went missing. When they got the call his body had been found, her mother had broken down rather convincingly. She may have hated the man in the end, but she did love him at some point so it was easy. After things calmed down, Sapphire was moved into a spare guest room, all new things bought, and things seemed to be going great. She didn't know things could be so nice, but one thing was that the brother wasn't convinced his fathers death was a bar fight gone wrong. He knew one day he brought home a stranger, then that very night his dad went missing. It was no coincidence. So each time he saw Sapphire, she'd receive death glares from him. It stung a little but she wasn't too phased, mostly because she found it hard to feel anything. She was learning all over again how to behave like a human girl and it was definitely tough.

At first Sapphire believed things would die down. Then one day while her mother was working and she was 'napping' she heard her brother come into her room and begin rummaging through things. He was muttering things to himself. Sitting up he didn't realize she was awake since his back was turned to her, until she cleared her throat. Jumping at the noise, he quickly turned around. She could tell he was terrified of something, simply because of his rapid heartbeat. It was actually giving her a headache. "S-stay a-away from me monster!" "London.. What's going on with you? Why are you in my room and saying such things..?" Pretending to not know what he meant, a promiseshe made to her mother, she slid out of bed. "I SAID STAY AWAY!!" Stopping immediately she sighed and narrowed her eyes. "Mom told you everything I'm guessing. Including what happened to your father." With a quick nod of his head, she sat back down on her bed. She was having a hard time feeling bad about any of it. Trying to seem sad or well at least what she thought it was like, she continued to speak. "You know we are family. I'm your older sister, I would never hurt you. If I had come here to hurt you all, everyone would be dead. I can promise you that." Although she was just being honest she realized that he only was more scared. Tears even began to stream down his cheeks. Seeing that sent a jolt through her body. It was a pain she could only assume was guilt mixed with sadness. "London.. Please believe me. I'm not going to hurt you. Now again what were you doing in here if you're so scared of me?" "P-proof.." "Well you're not going to find any. Now leave me alone. I don't want to upset you anymore."
