March 2021, Paris, France
"Eyes on the suspect", Lisa whispered into her collar and peeked around the corner, the man coming to view, "waiting for the permission to take the next step"
Her hand was clasped around her gun, holding on to it tightly. Something rustled in her ear piece and Lisa remained still, adrenaline rushing through her body.
"Permission granted"That was all the Thai needed to hear. She shoved her gun into the front of her pants to hide it and quietly approached the target, moving quiet like a cat, not making any sounds.
"Andrews, back her up", Lisa heard the voice of her boss and groaned internally. She could easily get the job done by herself and didn't believe why her supervisor refused to believe in her.Lisa tried to not let herself be put off by it and continued her work. She was the youngest agent for a reason. She wanted to prove that she deserved the spot after all.
She walked up to her suspect and put on the most charming smile she could manage. "Hello. Are you Terry?", she spoke in French and the man jumped at her sudden appearance. "Oh, sorry for startling you. Max sent me, he wanted me to pick up some kind of delivery" Terry frowned, shifting uncomfortable.
"I don't know what you are talking about"
'He is cautious. I expected that', Lisa thought.
She brushed her hair back and chuckled."Of course you do. The seafood, remember ? The red crabs?"
Lisa was beyond thankful for their secret informant. Without his information, they could have never pulled this off.Terry seemed to relax a bit and nodded. "Of course. The sea food", he grinned. Lisa felt pride at earning his trust.
"Yeah, come with me, I'll just get my boys", the man went on.From the corner of her eye, Lisa noticed a shadow moving in the dark and recognized it immediately. Luckily, Terry was busy stomping on his cigarette and didn't see her colleague in his full uniform, running around like they were doing a training simulation. Lisa made a mental note about scolding agent Andrews for his thoughtlessness, but tried not to let her frustration show when she followed the man they had been hunting down for months now like it was nothing.
"Red crabs you said, right?" Lisa nodded.
"Okay, I'll just call-"They were startled by the sound of a trashcan falling and both of their heads whipped around. Clearly visible, Lisas colleague crouched next to the now pushed over trashcan, gun raised right at Terry.
"For fucks sake", Lisa swore in Thai, before pulling out her gun in a quick motion. Terry, being anything but dumb, immediately read the room. He pulled out a revolver from his belt and aimed it right at Andrews.
Before she could think, Lisa jumped him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his midriff, hand going toward his arm immediately to disarm him.
"HELP!", Terry shouted before Lisa wrestled him onto the ground. Lisa knew what was about to come and hissed in annoyance. "They should have just let me do it"
She turned her head towards the little microphone in her collar.
"I NEED BACKUP!"Lisa was still busy with trying to keep Terry on the ground, when she heard doors being pushed open next to her.
"Fuck", she cursed under her breath and closed her thighs around Terrys head to keep him in place while aiming her gun at the group of men who appeared in front of her, heavily armed as well.
"Put your guns down or I'll put a hole into your bosses face, you got me?", she threatened, arms shaking a little. Even though she had had some years of experience, situations like the one she was currently in still scared the shit out of her. She tried not to let it show and pressed her gun against the leader head to support her threat.
