The next day we started packing our belongings, anything we knew was important in the home. I grabbed my computer and I wasn't sure if I should carry it or not but there were important things in it that could help the Avengers defeat Hydra.
Bucky looked at me holding the computer and immediately recognised it. Maybe he saw me using it while he was taken to another cell... "You sure we need that thing?"
I nodded, a small smile forming. "it holds memories, research, and information that could destroy hydra once and for all. I know that hydra tracked us but I already solved it"
He understood everything and nodded his head.
With our belongings ready, we left that home ready to be free from hydra...far away from them.
As we continued our journey, we found an abandoned car near a deserted home. A lucky day for me and Bucky. Bucky gave me a knowing look as we went towards the vehicle.
"Looks like we just got ourselves a new ride," he said.
I chuckled at his words as I tried to open the car door "Stealing a car together. Who would've thought?"
We quickly got in, and I took the wheel.
"Where to now?" Bucky asked, looking at the deserted road.
"We keep moving until we find a place where Hydra won't find us" I replied.
He nodded in agreement, and we fell into silence. But something was disturbing my mind and I had the urge to ask Bucky this question and maybe I might get a "I don't know" as an answer but I had to try. "What do you think we'll do once we're far away from Hydra?" I asked, searching for answers.
Bucky leaned back in his seat, analyzing the question. "Honestly, I don't know. My past has always been violence and pain. I don't even know what I could do in a normal life."
I understood every single word he said; my past is all dark and empty. I never knew my biological parents... "We'll figure it out together. The world is full of opportunities. Maybe we could help people, or simply find peace."
Bucky's eyes were filled with hope and I could sense it "Yeah, I really hope we live a normal life." He said looking at me then at the road.
"And maybe," I added with a grin gaining his attention again
"you could teach me some of your combat skills. We'll make a wonderful team."He chuckled at my words and said. "Deal. But only if you teach me some of your recipes. Those meals were great. I would love to cook something special for you one day."
"It's a deal then," I said
We looked at each other again and laughed. Laughter filled the air that very moment. We finally drove far away from Hydra but that wasn't enough. We needed a home and we needed to live in a city to disguise ourselves away from Hydra. While I was thinking of disguising ourselves away from Hydra something funny made me laugh making Bucky's face filled with confusion.
"I could see you in a giant chicken costume," I joked, earning a glare from Bucky.
"Oh, you better believe I'd be so good in that chicken suit," he replied with a smirk.
