''You can take however long you want.'' I said to Charlie as he rested his face in his hands. I took a sneak peak at my phone, ''Just a reminder, class is almost finishing.''
Charlie rubbed his faces roughly. ''Oh shit, yeah.'' He said, as if he had completely forgot about class.
After I explained soul mates, werewolves, and packs Charlie almost had a mental breakdown once he realized most of the students in his class were werewolves, I had also explained that there was some humans who had no idea of it, so he should keep this to himself and only himself.
''So what does this mean... I mean, like, with us?'' He pointed towards me and him repeatedly.
''Dump your irrelevant fiance, and marry me.'' I was half joking and half not.
Charlie quickly looked up in horror, and I released a laugh at his reaction. ''I'm kidding.''
''But seriously, you're going to have to call it off Charlie. You're supposed to be with me, and only me. The Moon Goddess put us together for a reason.'' I placed my hand on his, and I could feel his body shaking in shock.
I moved my body closer to his and wrapped my arm around his body and rested my head on his shoulder. ''But if you don't want to be with me... you can r-reject me.'' My voice broke at the word, and Winter started to whine at the thought of our mate rejecting us. We would be heart broken forever.
''Reject? As in I can have a choice whether to be with you or not?'' I nodded my head at his question, but quickly thought of a disadvantage so he doesn't do that.
''I mean you're going to live the rest of life miserable if you do reject me, that's just how it is.'' I shrugged my shoulders and waited patiently for his answer.
''I need time to think this over Charlotte, I mean only just twenty minutes ago I thought you were a stalking student who likes me.'' I raised my eyebrows, but bit my tongue to not say anything. ''But now I found out you're a werewolf and we're soul mates. I never really believe in soul mates. '' Charlie mumbled the last sentence to himself.
''I've known the woman I'm going to marry—''
''Were going to marry. Past tense.'' I replied, but Charlie didn't correct me, he only continued with what he was going to say.
Charlie sighed, ''For eight years Charlotte, I can't just drop her and give her no reason.''
I inhaled and held my breath, trying to control myself. ''You aren't soul mates though.'' Charlie faced me and I placed my palm on his cheek and gently rubbed his cheek with my thumb.
