Kiara didn't sleep well last night. After Alis left her in her room with a silky nightgown, she sat on the bed, pondering everything that had happened.
She felt utterly lost and confused, trying to close her eyes and recall anything before waking up in the garden, but to no avail. Exhaustion eventually overcame her, and she fell asleep, tears staining her nightgown and pillow.

Now that she was awake, Kiara looked around the room curiously. It was spacious, with a large bed adorned with pastel pink silk covers, and the walls were painted a soft pale yellow, reminiscent of the colourful flowers she had seen outside the manor.
To her right, there was a wooden desk in front of a window that offered a breathtaking view of the garden filled with various flowers and plants. On her left, she found the bathroom.

A knock on her door interrupted her exploration. Alis entered, holding towels and a pink gown.

"I thought you might need a bath," she said, motioning towards the bathroom.

"Then Tamlin requests your presence for breakfast." Kiara nodded, feeling embarrassed about her previous interaction with Alis.
In complete silence, the maid assisted Kiara in taking a bath. She wasn't sure if silence was better than conversation, but what could she say? She couldn't remember anything about her past.

Once Alis helped her dress in the gown tying the corset, she led Kiara down the stairs. At the end of the staircase, The Star caught a glimpse of herself in a mirror in a golden frame. The pink gown accentuated her curves, and a ribbon in the same color held the upper part of her hair. She touched her face and hair, as if seeing herself for the first time (she indeed was).
Alis rolled her eyes, assuming Kiara was being vain, and instructed her to follow once again.
She glanced at her reflection one last time, noticing tiny freckles on her face, wide blue eyes filled with wonder, and a soft blush tinting her cheeks.

"This way," Alis said, capturing Kiara's attention, causing her to jump slightly. The Star followed, her eyes widening as she took in the grandeur of the hall.
The paintings, chandeliers, and golden details made it even more regal than it already was.

They reached the dining room, and as soon as Kiara's gaze fell upon the food, her stomach growled. Her mouth watered, and she couldn't understand why, but she simply wanted to devour all the delicious-smelling food in front of her.
Consequently, she failed to notice that she wasn't alone in the room.

Fayre studied her with wide eyes, her gaze shifting to Kiara's ears, realizing they weren't pointed like a faerie's. However, the mysterious girl in front of her possessed fair, porcelain-like skin akin to a faerie. Could it be that another human had killed a faerie belonging to Tamlin's Court, and this girl was trapped like Fayre?

"Oh, hello," Kiara said shyly, sending a friendly smile to the human girl, who realised she must have been rude for staring shamefully at her for a good minute.

"I am Fayre." She introduced herself with a smile. She had beautiful brown hair cascading down her back and blue-grey eyes enhanced by the light pale colour of her skin. She appeared fragile, yet a sort of determination burned in her eyes.

"I am Kiara." The Star sat next to the girl after receiving a nod of approval from Alis, who stood at the entrance.

"Here we are." Tamlin and Lucien arrived simultaneously, taking their seats in front of the two girls and promptly grabbing slices of bread.
