revelations.

As the carriage departed the manor, Kiara gazed out the library window with a twinge of sadness. She felt relief that Feyre was safe, yet the departure of her friend left a void. She would miss her dearly.

"Feeling already nostalgic?" So absorbed in her thoughts, Kiara didn't notice Lucien entering the library and approaching her.

"Yes" she turned toward him, noticing that his earlier frown had dissolved, though it had been replaced by a somber expression.

"Is everything alright?" she inquired with concern as he seemed to avoid direct eye contact.

"We're about to train. Follow me." Lucien didn't wait for Kiara's response; he started walking toward the patio. Confused by his demeanor, she followed, attributing it to Feyre's departure.

Upon reaching the patio, Kiara was taken aback to find Tamlin there, wearing the same serious expression as Lucien. Something was amiss - Tamlin never participated in their training sessions, she had never even saw him in that part of the manor.

"Hello, Tamlin. How are you?" Kiara greeted, aiming to alleviate the tension in the air.

"There's no time for idle talk, Kiara. We need to tell you something" Tamlin motioned toward a chair, which Kiara noticed had been placed there on purpose. Anxious and confused, she took a seat, her heart racing as she braced for what they were about to reveal. The silence hung heavily, as they contemplated how to proceed - they had determined what to do with her, but how to convey it was another matter.

"Kiara" Lucien began, looking toward Tamlin for a moment to signal that he would take the lead, given the increased time they'd spent together. It seemed easier for Kiara to accept the truth from him.

"We've recently made a discovery about you" Lucien's words caught Kiara off guard, her mind racing with possibilities about what they might have unearthed about her past. Could they have found her family or discovered her origins? But then, why the gravity? Perhaps the news wasn't favorable.

"You have to know that when we found you, you were enveloped in binds of light. You didn't just hit your head and faint, as we told you. You literally fell from the sky onto Tamlin's lands." Kiara was stunned, her voice momentarily lost as she struggled to understand why they hadn't disclosed this before. Could it be some sort of joke?

"We had no clue what you were, so we chose to withhold the truth until we learned more about you. You seemed so lost" Lucien's guilt was evident as he continued to spin a web of falsehoods. He could not confess that they'd known from the start that she was a Fallen Star, and that they had kept her close to discover a way to finally defeat Amarantha.

"But the other night, we stumbled upon a legend that changed everything. Beings like you have descended to Earth in the past, aiming to aid and save us. They're known as the Fallen, and you are one of them."

"The Fallen? Otherworldly beings? Light? By the Cauldron, what are you trying to tell me?" Kiara rose abruptly from her chair, which toppled over. She paced before them, her hands clutching at her hair in bewilderment. It had to be some sort of amnesia; she'd lost herself in the woods, hit her head, and wound up in the Spring Court.

"Kiara, please listen" Tamlin's turn had come. He approached her gently, attempting not to further alarm her. "This is the truth. They're also known as Fallen Stars, and you are one of them. They are summoned to Earth by a faerie or human with a pure heart, tasked with fulfilling their wish. Their descent is random. In your case, you arrived in my Court. These beings possess the ability to manipulate and shape light, have unparalleled speed, strength, and-"
