Love To Leave You

Part 2.

He started walking faster to keep up with me, and that's when the panic started to set in.

What was this person's intention?
Why were they following me?

As those thoughts were running through my head, I heard him speak.
"Wait a minute love, I just want to talk is all!"
Oh my god.
This person is crazy.
What is he thinking? I don't even know him.

I broke into a sprint the minute I rounded the corner that would lead me straight to my building...I fished for my keys in my pocket and bolted for the gate.
I felt one of my earpods fall but I couldn't have been bothered to get it. I got to the gate and the man grabbed onto my arm just before I could yank it open.

"I said I just want to talk to you sweetcakes...what's the rush?"

I was visibly shaking.
My entire body felt like It was about to go numb.

"Please let me go...what do you want?" I pleaded.

The man took of his hood to reveal a eyes that bore into my soul.
They looked lifeless...and he had a crooked smile with rotten teeth that sent chills up my spine.
"How about we talk inside baby?"

I couldn't let that happen.
If this man entered my apartment who knows what he'd do to me?

"Please don't do this...what is it you want? Is it money? I've got some in my wallet here...I won't say a word to anyone please just let me go."

That seemed to piss him off.

"I said I just wanted to fucking talk to you, is that so hard for you to understand!"
His grip on my arm was getting tighter and I could feel his nails digging through my hoodie's sleeve.

Just as I was thinking about how I was going to get out of this alive, I heard a loud "thwack" and the man  was suddenly on the ground in front of me.

What the fuck just happened?

I looked up from my cowering position to see that another man was now towering over the creep, telling him off.

"You better fuck off out of here if you know what's good for you, good for nothing scum."

His voice had a calm chill to it.

He wasn't shouting but the enunciation of his words made it so that it was clear he wasn't joking.

The man got up from his position on the ground and spat out blood as he walked away.

He got socked in the mouth...damn.

The stranger turned to me and spoke.

"I'm really sorry you had to go through that, I'm embarrassed to be a man at times, are you alright?" He said.

"Oh..oh I'm okay now thanks to you."

"I'm glad...well I'll be on my way now  just get in safe alright?" He said, and he turned to walk away.

"Uhm wait...could I get your number? So I can properly thank you with a coffee maybe?"
"Oh its really no bother, you don't have to."
"Please I insist...you might have just saved my life just now."
He seemed reluctant but he agreed...we exchanged numbers and he waited for me to get inside before leaving.

Once inside my apartment...I couldn't stop thinking about this forest green eyes...they shone so brightly in the night sky...It was hard to miss them.

I couldn't imagine how the rest of his face looks.

He had a pretty sturdy build...could put my petite frame to shame but who cares...
I was intrigued.
