FIVE | Jin's Day Out

Fixing his cream cardigan for the hundredth time, Jin lets out a huge sigh as he braces himself outside of Taehyung's study. Today is a Saturday, which is his supposed "day off" of the week, so why is he getting so nervous as if he's been sent out to war right now?

Goddammit, Kim Seokjin! Go and be done with it!

He raises his hand and knocks on the wooden door three times.

"Come in!" he hears Taehyung's deep voice hollered from the inside.

Jin hastily opens the door, directly meeting Taehyung's expectant eyes as soon as he enters the room. The older is sitting on his expensive and customized swivel chair, holding pieces of documents in his hands while keeping his gaze locked on him. He is currently donning rimmed eyeglasses this morning which, in Jin's unpopular opinion, makes his employer more mature and older than his actual age.

And hotter as fucking hell, his lewd self appears like a hoe he is. Like, 'Come on , Daddy. I've been a bad boy. Spank me, bite me and punish me as you please.'

    Shut up, will you!?

    "Are you okay, Jin?"

Taehyung's question pummels him back. His cheeks feel heated—he must have flushed red because of those intrusive thoughts inside his head. Shit.

"G- good morning, Sir Taehyung," Jin greets him, his voice small and timid. "I'm fine. I'm sorry to disturb you while you are working, but I just want to let you know that I will be going out today."

    Taehyung's brow raises in question.

    "With Taeyeon?"

Jin shakes his head, remembering the speech he has been practicing since last night.

"No, Sir. Like what my contract has stated that Saturdays are basically my day off in a week, I have made certain plans with a friend of mine today. He is in town right now, and it has been so long since I saw him. I already told Taeyeon that I will be out for the whole day, and she said she's fine with it as long as I get to be home before her bedtime, so you don't need to worry about her regarding this matter."

    "Your friend?" Taehyung repeats.

    "Yes."

    "Who?" he asks again.

"An old friend," Jin answers evasively.

Taehyung puts the papers he has been holding down onto his desk and slowly gets up from his seat without saying a word. He moves around, leaning on the edge of the table as he faces Jin, and crosses his arms over his chest with the thumbs sticking out while the other fingers are buried. He contemplates for a short while, never tearing his gaze away from Jin. He swallows the lump in his throat as he stares back at Taehyung. The older exhales inaudibly, finally looking down and turning away.

"Sure. As long as you have already explained to Taeyeon about your plans for today and she is okay with it, then it is fine by me," he says, his voice sounding deeper than usual.
