Sam Fender x Reader

Today was a special day. A day that filled your heart with such pride and warmth. Today was the day your boyfriend, Sam, got his honors degree in music. He was now going to be Dr. Fender which gave you a mixture of feelings.

You couldn't wait to see him walk up and get his degree. You had tissues on standby in your bag, knowing full well you were going to cry. You were currently standing with the future degree holder and his mum while she fussed over him.

"Mam stop please, I look fine" He begged his mum as she fixed his outfit one more time.

"I can't believe my little baby is going to have a degree. I'm so proud" She says, tearing up once again as I pass her another tissue.

"I know I can't grasp it" You join as he rolls his eyes.

"Not you as well," He says as he pulls you towards him making a smile reach your face.

"I'll go to the seats, give you two a minute. I love you" She says, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

You knew he was nervous as his hands kept twitching and his feet couldn't be still for more than a minute. This man could play Wembley but was terrified to stand in front of a few people for a degree.

"Darling stop worrying, you'll be fine. You will get your degree then come to us two and we will leave. Alright?" I speak, reassuring him.

"Promise?" He asked, sticking out his pinky.

"Promise" You confirm as your pinky around his.

"I love you, Dr. Fender," You say before pressing a sweet kiss to his lips.

"I love you too tease," He says with a small smirk.

You let out a small laugh before making your way back to Shirley. You sit down and share out the tissues, ready for the inevitable crying.

Sam was looking over at you both constantly while he waited as just the sight of you was enough to get rid of all nerves in his body.

You grip each other's hands as they get to the music portion of the ceremony.

"Sam Fender. An honorary degree in Music" The person speaks before Sam walks up to the stage.

Tears were spilling from both pairs of eyes as he picked up the degree. Cheers left your mouths as the Geordie came out of you both. You both looked at each other with sweet smiles, both filled with pride before deciding to go find the new degree holder.

You ran up to him as soon as you saw him before he picked you up and spun you around. You pressed a long kiss to his lips to show your pride and love for him right now.

"I'm so proud of you" You whispered in his ear as he put you down.

He was soon engulfed by his mum with hugs, kisses, and tears as you admired the two.

"Right I believe I was promised a lovely meal with my two girls," He said as he joined your hand with his and pulled his mum into him for a side hug.

And that was it. Your boyfriend was now an honoury degree holder. Dr Fender.
