Jordan admired Layla's effortless grace as she went about her day, effortlessly managing the preparations for Patience's album listening party. He couldn't help but wonder why she never tried to manage artists, as she seemed to excel in that role. He left the apartment to pick up a few things while Layla made her way to the party venue for the final set-up.

Back at the condo, he tried his best to evade Spencer's questioning gaze as he asked about his plans for the night.

"I'll be staying at Liv's place for a while. You can reach me on my phone if you need anything," Jordan responded, hoping to keep the details of his whereabouts vague.

Spencer smirked and playfully remarked, "Tell Liv the joke ain't funny no more. And say hello to Layla for me." Jordan caught his wink before he exited the condo.

THE BASEMENT was already buzzing with excitement as they stepped inside for the album-listening party. The retro ambience filled the air, with neon lights, disco balls, vibrant-coloured sofas and carefully arranged centre tables that created a stylish and inviting atmosphere. Various stations were set up, each equipped with headphones for attendees to immerse themselves in the music. Some people were already seated, engrossed in the album experience.

Jordan looked dashing in an ivory satin shirt and dark jeans, leaving a few buttons undone at the top to reveal a hint of his chest. His attire perfectly complemented Layla's shimmering champagne gold mini dress, which accentuated her figure flawlessly. Her hair cascaded in bouncy curls, with some strands delicately framing her forehead. Diamond hoops sparkled from her ears, and she completed the look with ivory pumps. Liv stood beside them, rocking a navy blue shirt paired with a black leather mini skirt and thigh-high boots. Her date, Helen, opted for more casual attire, sporting simple-cut jeans and a bedazzled black bra top.

"So what do you guys think?" Layla's voice was filled with excitement as she eagerly awaited their response. Jordan couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and joy being associated with her, and he pulled her closer, his arm wrapped around her waist.

"I think it's amazing," he declared, planting a warm kiss on her cheek. He sensed her muscles tighten in response to his touch.

Liv chimed in, sharing her admiration, "Girl, you've truly outdone yourself. I've always wondered why you haven't pursued artist management full-time. You rock at organizing events for Patience and Coop."

Layla shrugged with a smile. "It's a lot of work, and I prefer doing it for fun rather than as a full-time job."

As they made their way up the stairs to the reserved section, guided by the bouncer, they found themselves in an area that overlooked the main stage and entrance.

"I'm going to go see Patience. I'll be right back," Layla informed them.

"Need anything from the bar?" Helen asked.

"Nah, I'm good," Jordan replied.

Liv leaned in for a kiss before she headed off. "Get me a Long Island, babe."

"Sure thing," she replied, their lips meeting briefly and she disappeared into the crowd.

"Hmm, interesting," Jordan replied, his tone filled with curiosity.

Liv caught on and asked, "What's interesting?"

"It's just... you called her 'babe'," he explained, a hint of contemplation in his voice.

"I know, we're getting serious, and she is amazing. She's exactly what I need right now."

He nodded, understanding her perspective. "As long as you're happy and it's what you need, that's what matters."
