Over the next few days, nakusa would still sneak out to kill the people on her death note, unfortunately because she's still young she would be tired during the day, and eda noticed it. She chose not to say anything, but every new news report gave her more and more doubt, so she decided to do some reaserch. What eda found, was valuable Information to her.
Those labeled as sociopaths, can be stopped temporarily from exacting such aggressive behavior. However if this condition is owed by someone with young age, they can often relapse if their emotions get out of control
Eda read this multiple times, then got scared, if nakusa was having a relapse that mean she would be killing people again eda refused to believe it. Nakusa was at school all day. Eda didn't believe nakusa was doing this but.. If there was a chance, it was best to stop her if innocent people got hurt.
Eda's POV:
I won't believe it.. Nakusa wouldn't do that anymore.. I know for a fact.. But.. What if she is?.. If she's caught she'll be executed.. I can't let that happen to her, I promised her.. I promised I be there for her, I promised I'd be there to help her.. I promised id trust her.. "Honey?" I do trust her.. Right? Yes.. "Eda?.." But.. If I'm worried about this. I then felt something touch the back of my neck.. And it felt pretty good. I turned around and saw raine.. Then I put the pieces together and start blushing. "You alright there? You were looking into space" Raine told me. "Yeah.. Sorry.. It's just, these murders.. And people going missing.. It scares me" I told them. "It's okay.. I get it" the told me, then sat down right beside me. "You shouldn't worry so much besides its late, let's go to bed" they suggested. "Yeah.. Okay" I replied. And we went to bed, I love the feeling of their arms around me.. 2 years ago.. If you told me this is where I'd end up with Raine.. I'd never believe it.
Narrator pov:
Eda drifted off, but she kept the feeling that something wasn't right. She woke up in the middle of the night, and felt like something was off, something was wrong. Eda got out of bed, and went to check on nakusa. She she looked in her bed, she saw was looked like nakusa sleep, eda went to kiss her on the forehead, but stepped on something instead. It was a note book. Eda couldn't see the label but assume it was for school. So she took the note book to the kitchen, and turned on a dime light so she could see. When eda opened the note book, her heart dropped. Names in red ink, and a "good" amount crossed off. Eda looked at the cover, and saw it was later death note.
No no! You write the persons name in the death note, and then they die!
Eda's eyes welled up, she didn't want to assume, but she couldn't just ignore this. For now, eda put the notebook in a drawer in the kitchen and went back to bed.
The next day, eda waited untill nearly afternoon to talk to nakusa. Mainly because she didn't know what to say. "Hey.. Nakusa can to talk to you about something?" Eda asked, nakusa nodded and walked over to her. Then eda pulled out the notebook. "What's this?" Eda asked, nakusa gave a suspicious look. "You went in my room?" She asked. "I was just coming to check on you.. And saw this on the floor, whys it labed death note." Ed asked her. "Just.. Doodling in class" nakusa said with a straight face. "Hm.. So.. It's just your notes from your class?" Eda asked. Nakusa nodded. Eda sighed and opened the notebook. "Nakusa.. Do you think I'm stupid?" Eda asked. "I never said that" nakusa said back. "Your implying it.. If you think you can just lie to me!" Eda said I'm a stern voice. "I implyed nothing" nakusa said. "Then tell me what this is, is this a hit list!? Is that why people are going missing!?" Eda questioned. Nakusa didn't answer. "Nakusa.. You promised.. You promised you wouldn't kill innocent people!" Eda said to her. "Nobody is truly innocent" nakusa said back."what's..whats wrong with you!? After everything.. Everything I taught you.. Your still going to hurt people!?" Eda asked, "I told you already! It was a bad idea taking me in!" Nakusa said back. "I took you in because I had faith in you!" Eda argued "and where's the faith now!? So what? You gonna call the police on me?" Nakusa asked xans eda started welling up. "No! Never! Nakusa you'd be killed!! Why can't you understand that!? I love you.. I care about you to much to give you away to such a fate!" Eda said, as a few tears went down her eyes. "All the yellow tape around the body's I allowed them to find.. We're fucking homicides.. Faces in their t-shirts.. And families traumatized.. If I was caught I'd say I didn't mean to shoot him.. He just caught me by surprise.. But in reality.. I loaded that pistol cocked it back and a hot him 9 different times.. I won't hesitate.. To do it again.. That man shouldn't have bumped into you, then have the damn audacity to be rude.. " nakusa said. Eda was shaking, tears flowing down her cheeks. "Nakusa... Go to your room.. " eda said, and nakusa did it without arguement. Eda then pulled out her phone, and did more research.. On how to get nakusa to stop, or tame her.
When those diagnosed as a sociopath, and have the rare condition of finding one person they truly care about, they will stop at nothing to keep them safe. This is what doctors call the yandere effect. Fortunately there is medicine for it, but usually only held by mental facilities.
Eda started crying harder but silently.. She couldn't let nakusa keep doing this, and now she knew of a way to get her medicine. Eda didn't want to do it, but part I'd her knew she had to. Just then Raine walked in the house, and saw her. "Woah! E-eda!? Are you okay!?" They asked, as the walked over, and held her. "S-shes.. Out of control.." Was all eda could mutter.
