Going back to his room the first thing that Namjoon did was create a barrier. He made sure to crush a small clear crystal to erase the barrier's presence. Even though he was as strong as his old self he did not want to risque attracting the professor's attention. Finding a comfortable spot Namjoon took out the small black crystal from his pocket and started to absorb all of the information it captured. Trying to piece everything together Namjoon couldn't help but frown, there were too many confusing words throughout the recording. However, after a few minutes of absorbing the crystals' information, Namjoon froze and couldn't help but mumble, " A novel?".
After absorbing all of the crystal's information Namjoon did not know what to do, he figured it out. He figured out what those words meant, why Hoseok is acting so differently in this life, and why he was never able to get closer to Hoseok in his last life. It turned out that nothing was real, he wasn't real, and everything, his memories, his life were just fabricated words that a random person created. No matter what he tried he would never be able to obtain Hoseok, why? Because unlike him Hoseok was real, he had a life apart from this book.
Author: I wouldn't say I am random... I think
Namjoon's emotions started to distort at one moment he was mad and at another, he started to laugh crazily. While holding onto the corner of the table Namjoon let out the most nightmarish while heartbreaking laugh. He was in true pain, everything, every single nightmare had seen, live through, and couldn't stop was not because he was powerless but because everything was already written. Everything was set in stone, no, not everything. Hoseok wasn't, Hoseok was able to change the flow of the story which was why he wasn't able to leave, he needed to set everything back to its original state.
Having calmed down his emotions Namjoon couldn't help but chuckle, so what if his "destiny" was already written down, it doesn't mean he has to follow it blindly, from now on he will write his own destiny, he will obtain everything he desires, this life is his, and his alone. But first, he needs power, all of the power he can obtain. Now that he thinks about it in a few days Hoseok will push him down a cliff, there we would obtain a magical artifact. No wonder he was unable to save Hoseok in his last life, he did not obtain the amount of power he was destined to obtain. Bring up the small black crystal towards his lips Namjoon landed a soft kiss on it and whisper, wait for me, my love.
The next day the professors brought out every freshman student to the back of the mountain. " Attention freshmen, today everyone will have the opportunity to obtain a beastly pet, do not cut in line and wait for your turn. if anyone you dos not feel safe or is in danger rip the talisman that is in your pockets and you will be transported back here." All the students couldn't help but start whispering with joy, they had the opportunity to create a contract with a high-rank beast, even though it was a quite dangerous act it was still a once in a life chance. Since high-rank beasts did not like to travel alone and were highly more dangerous in the wild forest.
As for Hoseok, he couldn't help but get nervous, he can't believe he forgot about this part of the story. He was way too focused on pushing Namjoon down the cliff that he forgot about this story point. If he remembers correctly Namjoon was able to obtain the second-highest raking beast, a golden fire phoenys, as for the reason why he was not able to obtain the highest-ranking beast, well no one knows. The only twist in this part of the story was that no one knew what beast the main character got that is until he fought with the original body owner, (aka the original Hoseok). It would be a lie to say he wasn't excited to see this scene since if his last life Hoseok did not want to attend and just made a contract with a random family beast.
As soon as everyone entered the portal everyone was shocked, it was much darker than everyone thought. Not only that but everyone felt the danger looming from every single corner. Some were unable to resist the high-rank beast's aura and quickly tear their talisman. While others chose a path to follow while holding on to either their swords or wands. Seeing the dungeon right in front of him Hoseok felt a little shocked, he thought everyone was going to be teleported into a forest since they entered through the school's back mountain. Instead, they were transported into a dungeon that split into different paths and doorways.
Many of the students either created groups to follow down the paths or would choose a door and go through it. The only catch about the doors was that once someone pass through them the door would disappear and no one else would be able to pass through them or open them again. Not wanting to join a group Hoseok walked around for a little bit and chose a door. In the original story, it was never specified which door was chosen by Hoseok, the original body, which means that he can choose whichever door he pleases. After walking around for a few minutes Hoseok finally decided to choose a simple brown door with a small green gem in the middle.
As for Namjoon he ignored everyone else and decided to follow a path that was hidden by a few doors. He knew exactly where the demon beast he wishes to obtain is located. The only problem that Namjoon had was that at an unknown moment, Ellain started to follow him it seems that the book truly wants to see them ending together. That, however, wasn't his plan at all, and now that he thinks about it Ellain was the main reason why he choose the demon beast he chose in his last life, too bad. He wasn't planning on being influenced once again. After walking around the area for a few minutes and walking through groups of people Namjoon was finally able to lose Ellain.
Halving entered the secret path Namjoon tried to remember every single detail he talked about with the beast he was about to capture. Even though he had the opportunity to capture the beast in his last life doesn't mean he has the same opportunity in this life. Having arrived at his destination Namjoon smiled softly and entered the cave in front of him. Less than a minute after he entered the cave Namjoon heard an angry growl and heavy chains moving. Right in front of him appeared a black dragon with red eyes and black crystal-like horns. "You impudent human dare to enter my cave, you wish for death. " Namjoon did not listen to the dragon's angry roar and only let out a small smile, this power, it is his.
