Invisible (Poem)

I was sitting across the room,

My face you cannot see.

My brown eyes stare at you.

Yet there is no guarantee,

That you can see me, too.

I'm invisible to you and the rest

My only hope and dream

Is that I will matter one day.

Yet I will have to wait,

Wait for you to see

All the good things I hold

And all that I matter

Just for you to fall

Fall head over heels in love for
me

But when that happens

I'll be gone, gone with the wind.

And you'll be wondering why you

couldn't see what you see now,

then.
