Cold Truths

-School Threats-

IRAS POV
I woke up to my brother and mom yelling in the kitchen. Attempting to avoid the conflict, I quickly get dressed, grab my things and leave for school.
I walk down to the park to see my best friend, Ollie waiting for me, holding two skateboards. Since my mom wont let me buy one, Ollie always lets me borrow his skateboard.
I jog over to him while we make our way to school. As soon as we get on campus, people scatter away from Ollie.
"Ollie what did you do this time?" I sighed.
"He had it coming..." He grumbled. Not that I really cared about the fights he got into, I was concerned he was gonna get expelled. I could NOT handle a day at school without Ollie. If he's sick, I just skip.
After heading into the building I saw Zach run over to us. Zach had a huge crush on Ollie which I hated. I don't want him to spend time with someone else or he might abandon me like everyone else had.
Ollie could pick up on my nervous behavior because he squeezed my hand in a comforting way. "Ollie! You and your friend wanna come sit for lunch with me and my friends?" Zach asked, glancing at me. I immediately looked down at the ground trying not to make eye contact. "We're good." Ollie declined. I supposed he looked a bit stand-offish but to me it was normal.
Zach shrugged and walked away. After letting out a sigh of relief Ollie dropped my hand and led me to his locker.
"Wanna skip?" He asked looking up from his phone. "No, we have the test today." I explained, "Shit, I forgot about that." He muttered. "Well, let's get to first period." He said putting his phone in his pocket. "ok" I said in response, walking after him.

OLLIES POV
Me and Ira reached Science and to be honest I HATED Science. I mean yes I was good at it and I got good grades but still, that didn't mean I didn't hate it. Me and Ira walked over to our seats and sat down. I glared at the door entrance as I saw Sydney enter. God Sydney was such a bitch! I hated her. She thinks that she's a hot shot and what not. I watched her closely as she approached Ira.
"What's up nerd!" She said her voice sounded sarcastically nice.
"Please go away.." Ira muttered and tried to move away from Sydney.
"Why? Are yo-" Sydney began and I cut her off.
"Leave them alone Sydney, and go back to doing your makeup or hair in your mirror or whatever you do." I said. She glared at me and looked back at Ira. "But we were just talking." A sly smile made its way to Sydney's face.
"It didn't sound like talking so sit down." I barked and stood up.
"I don't take orders from you!" She snapped and turned towards me.
"You will unless you want to see how blood tastes." I said and gritted my teeth a bit. She rolled her eyes and scoffed. (Idk why I added this I'm so sorry :,> )
"Whatever." She huffed and went to her seat. I rolled my eyes and sat back down in my seat.
I turned around in my seat and looked at Ira and asked.
"Are you okay?"

IRAS POV
After Sydney had just scared the living shit outta me I felt like dying in a hole. Ollie turned around to make sure I'm okay. I just quickly nodded my head and buried my face into the desk. He knew I wasn't okay but he dropped it and kept sending nasty looks at Sydney.
After science, we were all supposed to report to the auditorium for a school board meeting. As Ollie and I walked out of the classroom together a loud squeak came from my coat.
"Shhh!" I patted my coat pocket. Ollie looked at me confused until I led him into the bathroom. (Yes I can go in whichever bathroom I want) Once we made sure no one was within earshot I pulled out my hedgehog Nugget and presented her to Ollie. Ollie had already met Nugget and was pretty fond of her so he wasn't as shocked as I thought he would be. "Just be careful with her Ira." He sighed leading me back out into the hall.
Once we got to the auditorium, the principal and a couple police officers were standing on the main stage.
"We have been having lots of bomb threats lately, and, although, the school board has identified them as bluffs, for safety reasons we must send you guys home for the day."
A bunch of kids lit up across the auditorium after hearing the phrase 'no school'. We were instructed to get our things and quickly leave the school for the rest of the day.
Then the principle went on about something, but my ADHD had me completely zoned out.
You know that feeling on the back of your neck when someones behind you? Yeah I had that weird feeling. There was no way in hell I would actually look behind me so, I just looked back at the principle. Eventually the feeling went away and as we were exiting the auditorium I made sure to be one of the first people to stand up in hopes of seeing who was looking at me. After seeing nobody catching my eye, I give up and just start skating off campus with Ollie.

OLLIES POV
As me and Ira skated back to the park my thoughts were mostly on the bomb threats that they thought they were bluffs but were they? Or did they just say they were bluffs to make us feel safer? After a few we both reached the park and Ira handed me my board.
"See you tomorrow Ollie!" Ira waved to me as they left. I looked around for a split second, feeling like I was being watched but no one was physically watching me. I shook it off and began to board back to my house. I reached my house, I already knew it was gonna be kinda chaotic because I think my younger brother has two of his friends over. I rolled up into the driveway and stopped in front of the garage. I drew my phone out of my pocket with my free hand. I texted my mom that I was home and if she could open the garage door. She responded with a yes and I waited. I heard the garage begin to make a squeaking noise as it rolled up. I stuffed my phone in my pocket and kicked my board up and caught it with my free hand then entered the garage. I set the boards against the wall and walked to the door. I closed the garage door and then opened the door and entered my house. I sighed as I shut the door. I took my shoes off and went up to my room. Like I expected it was somewhat chaotic and loud. As I walked past our living room I got a glimpse of my brother and his friends playing games on our shared ps4. As I walked into my room, I took my backpack off and threw it into a corner and set my shoes by my door. I slept upstairs and so did my older sister. She was planning on moving out so that meant I got the whole upstairs to myself when she leaves. I pulled my phone from my pocket and plugged it in.
I let out a long exhale as I heard my name being called from down stairs.
"Coming mom!!" I yelled.
