Two days later
------------------------------------------------------------

mermaid. " I finished as we walked out of the hospital wing.

"What the? I like there merpeople that live in the lake?" Viktor replied now looking even more worried.

"Oh god no, nothing like that. It's like the hat said, 'I have many secrets' this is just one secret. But I have others. Many others. Some I don't even know yet as you saw a couple days ago." I said as I started blushing.

"Like what may I ask?" Viktor asked.

"Oh nothing much. Just the fact that like you." I mumbled really fast,  so he couldn't catch what I said.

"What? Please repeat that. All I heard was 'I.'" Viktor pleaded taking my hand into his.

"Oh it's just. I really like you. More than a friend. And if you don't I totally understand. I hope this doesn't affect our relationship." I replied taking my hand out of his and stared down at my feet.

"Eve. I'm honored that you like me, and I'm sure I would like you, but you should know that I don't swing on your side of the fence." Viktor laughed wiping fake tears from his eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean? That you don't like ugly little girls? Or do you go for them older ladies?" I asked defensively.

"Eve. I swear to you on my life that you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met. What I mean by 'I don't swing on your side of the fence' is because i'm not interested in any type of girl." Viktor murmured.

"Oh my god! Heaven's sin. You are interested in men? You couldn't find time to tell me this before I started having a crush on you?" I asked angrily while I glared into his eyes.

"Eve. I'm so sorry. I've wanted to tell you since the day we got sorted, but I didn't know how. I understand if you don't want to be friends anymore." Viktor croaked slowly, stopping in his tracks.

"VICTOR KRUM! You get back here right now." I shouted as the water bottle in my hand heated up and bursted open. Viktor looked scared as he hurriedly conjured a gauze to stop the bleeding in my hand.

"I'm so stupid! I need to get out of here, I don't know what I'm doing. I can't put you in harms way. I'm sorry Viktor, for everything." I apologized as I walked over, kissed him on the check and then ran toward my Dad's office in the dungeon. But not before Viktor shouted after me "Wait! Evelina! Don't go! I need you."

"I'm sorry Viktor. But you don't. You should have never met me. Your life has been a living hell since I got here, and I'm sorry. I have to go." I shouted back at him as I turned the corner and vanished from his sight.

I arrived minutes later in the front of my dad's office, tears pouring down my face. I knocked on the door twice before I heard a light "come in," from my father. I slowly walked into his office staring down at the ground.

"Evelina, what is wrong? Did that Viktor kid do anything to hurt you?" My dad asking
questioningly.

"N-no..." I stuttered. "I d-don't k-know w-what's h-happening t-to m-me"

"Evelina, sweetheart, you need to calm done. Take a deep breath and breathe." I did what he said and soon I had my breath under control and I was finally able to glance around the room. I noticed someone standing next to his desk that I hadn't realized was there.

"W-what? O-oh, s-sorry I didn't realize anyone beside my dad and I were in here." I said as glanced at the person beside my father's desk.

"Hello young lady. My name is Professor Markovski. I teach Dark Arts here at Durmstrang. Now, how come I haven't seen you in my classes recently?" He asked holding his out for me to briefly shake.
