Prologue

Class 2A had just finished school for winter break, a few members of the class have gone home to spend Christmas with their families but for a few like Momo, Izuku, Jirou and a couple others who had decided to spend this holiday together, currently Momo and Jirou were in the common room hanging up decorations while talking.

"hey Momo I never asked but why did you decide to stay for the holidays" Jirou questioned while she pinned up her side of the lights above the door.

Momo looked at her best friend "i guess i wanted to just take a break and relax, if i went home id end up studying without meaning to" she gave her friend a warm smile before she went back to pinning the other side of the lights up.

both girls continued chatting away and decorating, meanwhile in the kitchen we see Izuku and Uraraka baking cookies and having a light argument over chocolate chips, Todoroki was sat on the couch reading some manga he had borrowed from kaminari, mina and tooru were outside having a snowball fight and making snowmen, everyone could say this was a perfect Christmas but two people had other thoughts,

Todoroki had been dating Momo since the start of their second year at UA, it was the first couple of the class and obviously mina had made a massive deal about it almost ordering Aizawa to have a party about it, another couple that formed was between Uraraka and Izuku after Uraraka got tired of waiting on him to confess, but recently both relationships haven't been what everyone expected them to be, Momo and Todoroki barely speak to each other or show affection but most put that down to their upbringing of being professional in front of company and between Izuku and Uraraka it seems to be one sided as Izuku has recently been eating less and spending more time in his room, a few people like Kirishma had asked if he was okay and he always just smiled and said it was nothing to worry about or that he just didn't sleep well the night before, Bakugo was worried the most as he knew what Izuku looked like when he was depressed but every time he tried talking to Izuku he was given that same smile he had seen all through middle school.

*flashback to a month after Izuku and Uraraka get together*

Izuku was sat in his room reading his notes on midnights art history class when Uraraka stormed into his room

"OI you ass I've been texting you for the past ten minutes and you haven't even looked at them" she stormed over grabbing his notes and throwing them over her shoulder "I need money to go hang out with my friends" Izuku looked shocked and instinctively shrunk into himself "u-um s-sure babe" he shakily opened his wallet and went to grab some of the notes he had in there but before he could Uraraka snatched his wallet "thanks idiot now don't bother me or text me while i'm out" she turned around and and left his room waving his wallet in the air and laughing at how much fun she's going to have.

Izuku was in a state of shock at what happened he had never seen her act like that it scared him almost as much as kacchan used to, he had been sat there frozen in shock for almost an hour till Bakugo walked past his open door and saw him, it made the explosive blond stop in fear and without even thinking about it Bakugo had cleared the distance pulling the green haired boy into a tight hug,

"deku oi what happened" he slowly shook his friend trying to get a response "hey Izuku are you ok" the green haired bean slowly looked at his friend small tears forming in his eyes "i-im n-not s-s-sure" he wiped his eyes and then told Bakugo everything that happened but asked him to not say anything as he doesn't want there to be a big scene.

*flashback ends*

it was now Christmas day and everyone was in the common room laughing and having fun playing games. "hey guys we should exchange gifts" mina jumped up enthusiastically while waving a box in the air, everyone started laughing before going to their rooms to grab their gifts, Momo and Izuku however didn't move from the room both looking down at the floor, Izuku looked over at Momo "u-um yayorozu-san are you not going to g-get your gifts for the others" Izuku sheepishly whispered thinking he might get in trouble if he was too loud "o-oh midoriya I umm I don't have any gifts this year" she looked down a small tear fell down her cheek, Izuku's heart hurt to see her so upset (the reason he never confessed to Uraraka was because he saw her as more of a sister and he had feelings for Momo) "I-is everything ok yayorozu" he leant closer and gave her a reassuring smile "I-if you n-need to talk i-im here to listen" she laughed a little "I should be asking you if everything's okay midoriya" she looked up at him "I've noticed how much weight you've lost, how you always have no energy, you flinch every time your girlfriend calls your name" she leaned in and whispered "is ... is she abusing you"

Izuku jumped back with a shocked look on his face "n-no I-its n-" Izuku's words caught in his throat when he looked back at Momo through his arms that were currently covering his face, she was looking at him her onyx eyes looking almost through him with a stare that he had seen every time he had woken up recently, he let out a deep sigh his whole body collapsing into the chair he was sat in "you too huh?" Momo looked over in shock at Izuku after watching him sigh and suddenly his stutter had gone and his voice was deeper "m-midoriya w-what was that just now" Izuku looked over at her "what happened to your voice" she was stunned that the classes innocent bean had such a deep voice that he had kept hidden

"oh yeah the whole stutter and voice was because of her" Izuku looked over to where Uraraka had been sat before the class had run off to get presents "s-so I was right" Momo looked away "i'm sorry midoriya is there anything I can do to help you" he looked over and smiled at her "i'm pretty sure were both in the same boat yaomomo" her heart skipped a beat hearing Izuku call her the nickname that the other girls gave her "I-its not the s-same "she stuttered out "there's c-certain t-things a g-good girlfriend must do" Izuku's eyes widened as he had thoughts that made him feel sick "yaomomo please tell me he hasn't" he grabbed her hand and waited for an answer she just shook her head "n-no nothing l-like that but a-as the o-one with the m-monetary I-income" she wiped away the slight tear marks, Izuku looked down and held her hand "it was the same for me" he looked over towards the stairs making sure the class wasn't coming back down "she started off taking my wallet but later on if I didn't give her any or if I ran out she would attack me or use her quirk on me and leave me floating till I puked".

what both teens didn't know was just around the corner there was a certain blond haired bomb who now had the full picture and was furious, not only was his best friend being abused but that icy hot bastard was doing the same thing, Bakugo heard the others coming down the stairs so hew coughed loudly giving the other two teens a chance to separate.

"h-hey k-kacchan" Izuku looked over and smiled at his best friend "thanks for the warning" using his normal deep voice that time "wait he knows" Momo looked over at Bakugo who looked back at her with a sympathetic smile "don't worry ponytail, I wont say anything but I still think that both you idiots should get away from them" as Momo went to reply they heard mina jumping around and screaming about presents as the class came down the stairs.

"WHO IS READY FOR PRESENTS" mina squealed making Momo and Izuku smile and before anyone could notice Izuku leant over to Momo and whispered "we can talk more tonight if you can get away from him" she nodded before turning back to the class ready to join in the festivities.
