Chapter 5

The tension inside recovery girls office was thick in the air, since Izuku had brought Momo into the office he hasn't said a word or left the side of the girls bed, Bakugo had been sat across from them in the corner holding an ice pack against his jaw. "so you gunna tell the others what happened nerd" the ash blonde spoke quietly still in slight disbelief in how much his best friend had changed "not right now Bakugo her recovery is more important, you should go back and get some rest" Bakugo scoffed at his friend "did you forget that if i go back everyone is going to ask me to tell them everything" Izuku's gaze on Momo broke as he looked towards Bakugo his once emerald eyes, now an ocean blue "tell them the truth about me but leave her side of this out of the conversation" Izuku sighed deeply "its not our side to tell" Bakugo understood what he meant giving the giant a nod before getting up and leaving the office "i wont tell them anything nerd you know that" with that the door closed leaving the two mates alone.

Izuku pulled the chair Bakugo was in and sat next to her bed gently grasping her small hand like it was made of glass "i-im sorry" he let a single tear fall down his cheek "if i hadn't given you this necklace, you would be awake and okay right now" he rested his head on the edge of the bed "i can hear her wolf" Akira spoke softly to Izuku "she is trying to explain what is happening, they will both wake up soon" Izuku let out a light chuckle wiping his tears "is there any way for you to speak to her wolf now, just tell her they're safe" Izuku felt Akira nod before going silent, "guess all i can do is wait now" he rested his head back against the bed next to her hand before closing his eyes.

inside Momo's mind she was surrounded in darkness but she knew she wasn't alone, "who are you" she whispered out into the empty void "i know you're there, the voice in my head" before she could ask again a pure white wolf jumped over to her, it was small for a wolf but it still made the girl jump back "hi there" the wolf wagged her tail happily "so to cut things short you are now a werewolf thanks to mate" the white wolf hopped around the girl "what do you mean" the ravenette "i don't think werewolves exist, they are a myth" the wolf frowned at this "but you saw mate change and i can feel him close now, he's watching over us while we talk" the wolf laid down in front of Momo "you see mate gave us his necklace which stored his power and stopped him from changing, when he gave it to you the energy stored in it gave me life" the wolf gently licked at Momo's hand "you keep saying mate but you haven't told me who this mate is" Momo stroked the white wolf "i don't know mates name but his wolf told me that we are currently safe" Momo looked confused "you mean that giant black wolf i saw before i passed out" the wolf jumped back up and was bouncing around "yup yup that is mate, before he changed he had green hair and was very angry, it scared me" Momo could see the wolf lower its snout "you mean that giant wolf was Izuku, i mean it makes sense with his ears but i thought it was just a mutation quirk" the wolf jumped around again "we need to wake up, mate is sleeping but his wolf is getting restless wanting to meet us" Momo chuckled at the wolf bouncing around like a toddler who had ate too many sweets "calm down umm" Momo paused "do you have a name" the wolf looked back at her tilting its head to the side "of course my name is Winter, you know cause of our fur" the wolf rolled over "so how do we wake up" Momo sat there thinking "easy i can wake us up but everything will be painful for you, our ears and eyes will be sensitive and your body is also getting smaller so things might feel weird" Momo laughed "so just be careful opening my eyes and try not to move, got it" winter rolled onto her back before rolling back over and pressing her head against Momo's "we will need to transform in a couple of days so we can pair bond with mate properly but mate will explain that to you" Momo felt her eyes close as she felt her body waking up.

"oi mate is waking up!" Akira shouted at Izuku jolting him awake, scanning the room before looking over at Momo to see a pair of amber eyes looking at him "M-Momo" he gently caressed her hand "a-are you okay" the girl scanned over the boy in front of her noticing he was a lot taller and his body was more defined, his eyes drew her in before she covered her eyes "b-bright" the ravenette squeaked out, almost immediately the room darkened and before she even noticed his hand missing from hers it was back in place covering her now tiny hand "i-ive turned the lights out just take it slow" his voice was soothing to her, she could hear how deep his tone had become from what she remembered "I-Izuku w-what happened" she didn't get a response so slowly she opened her eyes letting them adjust to her surroundings before looking at the boy who had his head down "I-Izuku?" she could hear his quiet sobs and muttering "its my fault, i shouldn't have gone after him and left you alone" Momo could tell that he was blaming himself for her condition and she needed to stop him "listen Izuku its not your fault, whatever happened to me, no to us was out of your control okay but i do need you to answer some questions" she rubbed the back of his giant hand "so we are werewolves, is there more like us?" he shook his head "n-no i am the first of our kind and you are the second, nezu believes that i can make more but its just a theory" she smiled at him lifting his head up to look at her "okay so this wolf in my head is what i turn into, the same way you turned into that massive wolf?" he once again nodded "okay so may i ask what your wolfs name is" he was hesitant almost fearful "don't worry kid you can say my name without changing" Akira was calm when he spoke "his name is Akira, w-what about you?" he whispered "she called herself winter, she's practically the opposite of what i saw of your wolf" this made Izuku perk up and look at her "she said we were mates and honestly it scared me at first" she looked down at the covers "b-but i think i l-loved you before t-this, so i'm really happy knowing i finally get to be with you" she lifted her head up with tears in her eyes, Izuku couldn't hold back in less than a second he enveloped Momo in a tight hug which she reciprocated listening to his slight sobs "i-i wi-will never leave you Momo" she giggled at him before pushing him back into the chair "i have one last question, winter said we needed to change once my body finishes changing so we can pair bond, do you know what that is?" she ran her hand over the scar on the back of his hand noticing the blush on his face grow "u-um well from what i have been told by Akira w-we would both change and i would chase you down and catch you" he averted his gaze "then w-we w-would m-mate" he covered his face before Akira spoke "stop being a wuss, its normal" letting out a sigh Izuku looked at Momo "i know its o.." Momo put a finger on his lips "honestly Izuku its fine i would be glad to give you my first, but right now i think we should rest" he smiled at her "of course ill grab the couch from the corridor outside" before he could stand up Momo grabbed his arm, her tiny hands barely able to cover his forearm "u-um could i s-sleep o-on top of you" Izuku without saying a word gently lifted her up before climbing into the bed, the bed itself creaking under his weight "of course princess" he laid her down on his chest her feet barely reaching his knees, her body melted into him as she drifted to sleep.

outside recovery girls office all might, nezu, midnight and recovery girl had listened in to the two before recovery girl turned to midnight "so i took some blood from Izuku and i found something quite shocking" nezu looked over at them all "what is it Chiyo" nezu looked confused and needed answers "well when are you going to tell the boy he's your son, Nemuri".
