The sun shone brightly over the park where Rachael, Justin, Jeremy, and Ethan often gathered after school. The setting was a stark contrast to the English classroom where the day had taken an unexpected turn.

Rachael's voice carried with frustration as she recounted her encounter with her teacher. "Well here's the thing," she began, her tone filled with annoyance. "She said there was a coffee stain on my test, so my last three questions were unreadable."

Jeremy gasped in disbelief, his eyes widening as he absorbed the news

Jeremy gasped in disbelief, his eyes widening as he absorbed the news. Meanwhile, Justin, ever the calm one, offered a sympathetic response, "That sounds terrible."

Rachael, caught up in her distress, turned to Justin with exaggerated flair, her expression one of melodramatic distress. "Oh Justin, I'm distraught!" she exclaimed.

Unbeknownst to Rachel, I had quietly joined their group, observing the dramatic scene. As she turned, her hand dramatically placed in front of her face, her sweet floral perfume enveloped my senses.

Justin, ever the problem-solver, offered a suggestion. "It's not the end of the world," he said. "Maybe you can appeal and retake the test?"

Rachael's face brightened at the idea. "That's actually not a bad idea," she declared. "I'm going to march down there tomorrow and demand that I retake it!"

Ethan, who had been quietly listening, rolled his eyes, all too familiar with Rachael's over-the-top theatrics. "How was everyone's day?" he asked, clearly unimpressed. "Mine's been a total drag."

Justin, perhaps trying to avoid unnecessary attention, replied, "My day was pretty uneventful too." But Rachael, sensing his lie, called him out. "It looked pretty eventful to me," she said, a knowing smirk on her face.

Curiosity piqued, Ethan couldn't resist probing further. "Oh, there's drama? Do tell!" he exclaimed.

Rachael wasted no time in recounting the incident with Justin after lunch. "Justin here nearly took me out in the hallway at the end of lunch period," she said, her tone exaggerated. "And trampled over some students who I'm pretty sure are traumatized by the whole thing."

Jeremy's eyes widened further as he listened intently. "Woah! What did they do to you?" he asked, genuinely concerned.

Justin quickly defended himself, insisting that the students were merely in the way. But Ethan, still skeptical, chimed in, "The library? But we had double English after lunch... is this why I had to sneak you in?"

Justin sheepishly admitted, "Yeah... I left my book there and had to rush back to get it."

Rachael couldn't resist teasing him about his forgetfulness. "Your songbook?" she asked, a playful mocking tone in her voice.

Jeremy, ever observant, couldn't help but comment. "I'm surprised you'd forget it anywhere, let alone the library," he said.

Justin sighed, frustrated. "I know, but this stupid Enterprise week has taken over the music room, and it's really messing with my schedule."

Ethan, clearly sharing Justin's frustration, interjected, "Don't even mention the words 'Enterprise' and 'week' in the same sentence."

Rachael, intrigued by Ethan's reaction, questioned, "You have a grudge or something?"

Ethan's response was filled with determination. "Damn right I do! I've been assigned to show around some new kid starting tomorrow."

Justin, puzzled, wondered aloud, "New kid... but why did they ask you? Isn't that Rachael's job?"

An air of surprise washed over Rachael's face as she joined the conversation. "Yes, yes it is,"
