B.S.H.C.I. - MORNING -

An F.B.I. SEDAN approaches the grim Gothic pile of the asylum looming over the driveway. The F.B.I. sedan parks and out of it steps JACK CRAWFORD, WILL GRAHAM, And DR. CAROLINE BAILIE. "Freddie Lounds ran an unconfirmed story that the Chesapeake Ripper may already be in custody." Jack says speaking to me and Will, "Uncomfirmed? Are we confirming? Fact-checking for Freddie Lounds?" Will asks in a annoyed tone, "You're fact-checking for me." Jack corrects Will's statement as Will eyes the sign that reads "CRIMINALLY INSANE." "I'm always a little nervous going into one of these places. Afraid they'll never let me out again." Will says in a nervous tone, I can't help but agree with his statement. "Don't worry. I'm not going to leave you here." Jack says patting us on our backs

"Yea Not today." Will whispers and I look over at him.

B.S.H.C.I. - DR. CHILTON'S OFFICE - MORNING -

DR. FREDERICK CHILTON comes around his desk to shake Will Graham's hand and place a kiss on Caroline's as Jack Crawford looks on. "Doctor Bloom just called me about you, Mister Graham. Or should I call you Doctor Graham?" Fredrick asks Will already knowing Caroline. "I'm not a doctor." Will states looking at Fredrick as he kisses my hand.  "You're not F.B.I. either. That's a temporary identification." Fredrick inquires smirking, i roll my eyes.  "Mr. Graham teaches at the academy." I answer for Will. "A teacher. I am relieved to see you Doctor Bailie, we've known each other for years. Take that chair." Fredrick smiles at me as he pulls out a chair. "Doctor Chilton, we need to see the crime scene while it's still relatively undisturbed." Jack says in a serious tone, "For something so disturbing, I assure you it's undisturbed. Medical personnel made sure Nurse Shell wasn't alive and came right back out. The infirmary has been sealed off until you get there." Fredrick assures Jack, I tilt my head. "Why was a nurse left alone with a prisoner in a high-security psychiatric hospital?" Will asks taking the words out of my mouth.  "For the two years since he was brought here, Gideon behaved perfectly and gave every appearance of cooperating with attempts at therapy. As dictated by our present administrator, security around him was slightly relaxed." Fredrick says looking down ashamed like.

"Your present administrator?" Jack quirks his eyebrow, "I imagine after an incident like this one, she won't be holding that position much longer." Fredrick says sadly, (then) "I can't help feeling responsible myself for what happened. I had sessions with Gideon for years. He sat directly across from me and I had no idea what he was hiding. And now one of our staff is dead." Fredrick says looking sad and guilty.  That strikes a chord with Jack Crawford, who can relate. "Will and Caroline need to see the crime scene in as much privacy as possible."  Jack says looking at Fredrick with a glare "Dr. Bloom assured me that you would cooperate on procedure." Fredrick says looking away from Jack and towards Me and Will. "We will, but we need to be alone." Will asks glaring at him, "Ah, yes. That thing you two do. You two are quite the topic of conversation in psychiatric circles." Fredrick tilts his head smirking cockily. "Are We?" I ask Fredrick giving him a side eye, "A unique cocktail of personality disorders and neuroses that makes you both highly skilled profilers. And a Great psychiatrist dear Caroline." Fredrick says curiously, but I can't tell if he's being genuinely complimentary or not, at least in Will's case.

"Graham isn't here to be analyzed. And neither is Dr. Bailie." Jack says glaring at Fredrick "Perhaps they should be. At least Mr. Graham should be. We're woefully short of material on your sort of thing, Mr. Graham. Would you mind talking with some of the staff -- no, no, not this trip. Dr. Bailie was very severe with me on that point. We're to leave you alone. Maybe a special visit?" Fredrick says as I give him a warning look, me and him may be friends but I won't hesitate to slap him. "Thank you, Doctor Chilton. I'd like to see the crime scene now." Will says with a Bittersweet smile.
