At was almost eleven o'clock before they finally got back to the car, exhausted. They'd waited beside the Ferris wheel for ten minutes, before deciding that Jordan must have walked Florence home, and going to queue for one last ride on the Waltzer.

Gabriel was carrying a giant teddy bear, almost as tall as he was, which Bailey had won for him at one of the coconut shies.

They drove back to Gabriel's home in a companionable silence. Bailey pulled up outside the house, and switched the car engine off.

"I had a good time," Gabe said quietly, wondering what else to say.

Tonight had, after all, been his very first date with someone who was actually interested in being his boyfriend, and he wasn't quite sure what to do next.

"Me too." Bailey smiled across at him.

"Do you... want to come inside for a while?" Gabe asked tentatively.

Bailey grinned.

"Do you want me to?"

"I... Yes."

Gabe unlocked the front door and stepped aside to let Bailey in.

"It's not much," he said quickly, suddenly very aware of the peeling wallpaper in the hallway and the faded carpet.

"I like it," Bailey said. "It's homey."

Gabriel smiled sheepishly.

"I'm just going to check on the twins. You can..." He paused uncertainly. The twins slept in the living room, and he didn't really want to take Bailey up to his small, bare room in the attic.

"Shall I put the kettle on?" Bailey asked, perhaps sensing Gabe's dilemma.

"Yeah," Gabe grinned. "Thanks. The mugs are in the second cupboard on the left."

The twins were curled up top-to-toe in the living room behind their screen. Gabe tucked the blankets more securely around them, and ran upstairs to check on Phoebe.

Bailey handed him a mug of coffee when he stepped into the kitchen, and he accepted it with a word of thanks.

They sipped their drinks in silence, shooting shy glances at each other over their mugs.

Gabe didn't know which of them moved first. A moment later, their lips bumped gently together. Gabe felt Bailey's lips twist into a small smile as they kissed again.

Bailey took Gabe's mug from him and put it on the counter, before he threaded his fingers into Gabriel's hair, pulling them closer together.

With a soft moan, Bailey slid his hands down Gabriel's sides. He untucked Gabe's shirt from his jeans and ran his cool fingers over Gabe's skin for a moment, before his hands slid down to Gabriel's buttocks. His fingers tightened momentarily, sending a shiver of pleasure down Gabriel's back, before he lifted Gabe up onto the kitchen counter.

Gabriel twisted his fingers into Bailey's hair, moaning softly when Bailey drew back from the kiss.

Bailey dragged his lips roughly over Gabe's neck for a moment, before he pulled Gabriel's shirt and jumper over his head.

"Hey," Gabe murmured, hissing when Bailey's teeth closed gently over his nipple.

"Yeah?"

"You've done this before, right? You're not...?"

"A virgin? No." Bailey drew back with a grin, looking suddenly uncertain. "Are you?"

Gabriel almost laughed.
