Mia is at the 2012 Tony Awards which was hosted by Patrick Harris this year. She sat next to Nick as the opening number of the show is performed by the cast of the broadway musical Mormon.
The audience cheered and clapped as Patrick Harris walked onto the stage to deliver his opening monologue and then performed an opening number to start the show off which the audience absolutely loved. Paul Rudd then walked onto the stage to present the award for BestPerformance by a Featured Actress in a Play which was won by Judith Light for her role as Silda Grauman in the broadway play Other Desert Cities.
Nick and Mia then walked onto the stage to present the performance for Best Musical which was Newsies which Nick had performed in on broadway as a kid. "Our first nominee for Best Musical is based not only on a 1992 movie but also on the real-life Newsboys strike of 1899". Nick said.
"With a Tony nominated book and score this new Disney production implores songs from the movie plus new tunes and added twists as it tells the story of Jack Kelly, a rebellious and charismatic newsboy, who dreams of a better life away from the streets. When publishing giant Joseph Pulitzer raises his prices at the newsboys expense, Kelly rallies his fellow newsies from across the city to take action by printing their own paper and striking for what's right". Mia said.
"Please welcome, Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan and the company of Newsies". Nick announced as the audience clapped and he and Mia then walked off the stage as Jeremy and the company of Newsies appeared on the stage and performed.
