As Shizuru saw Hino's answer to the "BEE Code" puzzle, she began to doubt her own knowledge and skills as a reporter. She felt frustrated that she did not get a chance to discover the truth herself, and now everybody had learned the answer from Hino, she felt like she failed to do her job, and it was a blow to her ego. She wondered if she should just accept defeat and try to move on or keep trying to uncover the truth.
As Shizuru questions her friend about her failure to uncover the truth, her friend tells her, "Listen here, In media you have to be blindfolded first to gain your audience. People? what do they care about truth? They are just here for the message and channels not for truth. You can't just tell the truth like that!"
It seems like her friend is telling her that in order to succeed as a journalist, she might have to sacrifice her search for truth and accuracy, and instead become a mouthpiece or conduit for a particular message or channel, regardless of its accuracy or truthfulness.
Shizuru got furious at her friend for suggesting that she should ignore the truth in order to gain popularity and success. She insisted that her search for the truth comes first.
However, her friend vehemently disagreed and stated that in the world of media, people only care about the message or channel they consume, and not about the truth. Shizuru stood firm and insisted that truth is of utmost significance, to which her friend responded by mocking her and saying "Then you're sad...?"
Shizuru quickly shot back with, "Yes, I would rather be sad than be a purveyor of deception and misinformation to my audience."
Shizuru's co-workers were left bewildered by her answer and frozen in place, stunned by her words. They all stared at her as she left the office, with feelings of bewilderment, fear, and complete indifference towards everyone around her.
As she walked out with her chaotic and fiery energy, the entire office was left in shock, wondering what to make of her bold statement. All eyes were on her as she walked with purpose and determination towards the exit, unafraid to rock the boat and go against the grain.
Shizuru values the indispensable truthfulness and honesty of reporting and journalism. This is emphasized through the dilemma of delivering the desired message versus providing accurate information. The narrative stresses the significance of maintaining principles and not forsaking honesty or integrity for clout and success. Journalists must maintain a commitment to accuracy and the public good, irrespective of whether it is following the crowd or experiencing possible failure.
As Shizuru's friend rushes to the main office of the producer, he informs him that she might know something that only the both of them know. The producer is uncertain but assures her friend that she is not a threat and that they will be transparent with her.
"But sir..." Shizuru's friend says.
"Enough!" the producer says, his voice lowering and his tone becoming more serious.
"She's no threat to us. Just continue with the plan as we had discussed. We'll handle her." His words make Shizuru's friend shiver with fear and dread, wondering what the producer might mean by "handling" Shizuru.

Shizuru, while cooking her dinner (o-den stew), hears a knock on the door similar to the knock she heard last time. Feeling uneasy, she quickly grabs the shotgun and aims it at whoever is on the door, her heart pounding and her breath cut short. To her shock, it's a member of the secret organization, wearing a suit and holding a briefcase full of cash.
Will Shizuru's steady hand and courage save her, or will she falter in this crucial moment?
The organization seeks to negotiate with Shizuru, who firmly says, "No, I'm not selling my wedding ring." The organization is taken aback by her boldness and refusal to comply with their requests. She is determined to keep her wedding ring and will not give in.
Mr Kurokawa, looking ominous, says, "That's not what we came for..." Shizuru, who seems fearless and determined, says, "Leave my house!" Her words send a chill down the spines of the organization members, who are left speechless by her audacity. She will not be bullied or intimidated and will fight for what she believes in.
Seeing that Shizuru is not backing down and they do not have weapons at the moment, the organization members decide to retreat. They thought it was going to be a casual talk with Shizuru, but she's not having any of it. She's determined to protect what's important to her and will not back down without a fight.
Shizuru, feeling weary that day, wanted to relax but she forgot that she's cooking and that it might burn if she doesn't hurry.
She sighed as she remembered that she has to hurry to finish her dinner, otherwise, she would have to start all over again and that's not something she wants to do.
She's not having a great day, but she's trying her best to stay calm and take things one step at a time. She's determined to finish her dinner and not let the day get the best of her, despite her tiredness.
