Spencer's Pov

I walk into the BAU and see Y/n sitting at her desk. We've been together for a few months now, i want to ask her to move in with me but i'm scared she'll say no plus i have my mom staying with me right now.

My mom's dementia has been getting worse and going to Mexico every couple weeks to get the drugs to help her is hard and keeping it a secret it's hard. I want to tell Y/n but i don't know how she will take it.

I smile at her and continue to walk to Hotchs office. I need to ask for the weekend off to go to Mexico. I walk up to his door and knock on it "come in" i hear him say from the other side of the door. i walk in a smile at him "hey hotch i was just wondering if i could have this weekend off to help my mom" he looks at me then says "of course reid how is she doing?" my eyes immediately go to the floor and say "she's not doing so good" then walk out.

I take the metro home then say goodbye to my mother and her nurse and get in my car. I don't usually like to drive but in this case i need to drive.

Y/N Pov
I was confused on why Spencer didn't tell me about his mom. He asked for the weekend off for her but i'm not gonna bug him about it but i am gonna call him and make sure he's okay. i pick up my phone and press his contact. It rings a few times then i hear him say "hello" i smile and say "hey spence how are you doing" he sighs "i'm doing okay just worried about my mom uhm let me call you later she's having a rough time right now" i say "okay.." i wanted to say those words that's on the tip of my tongue but i can't.

I found it weird he hung up so fast it sounded like he was driving but i brushed it off. I had finished my paperwork so i dropped it off in hotches office and i head home. I get back to my apartment and take a quick shower and turn on my favorite show "The Vampire Diaries"

A few hours later i hear my phone ring. I jump up hoping it's Spencer calling me but it's Hotch. I answer thinking we have a case. "hello" i say i then hear hotch panicking "You need to get back here now" i immediately say "i'm on my way" i hang up and run to my room and get dressed not worried about my hair i leave my house.

The whole way i'm panicking that something bad has happened. I arrive at the BAU and immediately walk to the round table. I see Hotch and he looks at me like he feels bad. That's when i know something bad has happened. "what's going on?" i say "Y/n have a seat please" i sit down and he looks at me and says "Reid has been arrested" i look at him in shock.

My eyes start to get a little teary as i say "There's no way" he looks at me and says "he's in custody with the Mexico police." i look at him confused "Mexico?" i say. He then says "I'm not sure what he was doing there but these are some serious charges Y/n" i'm scared to ask what the charges are but i need to know. "What are the charges?" he looks at me complaining if he wants to tell me. "Y/n he's facing murder charges."
