A couple weeks passed. Tareo had always made his way to Graveside Fiction, the bookstore she worked at before she had a chance to go to the park and pull him away from Garou.
Garou. She hadn't seen him since their soba excursion and the heated moment they had had outside of the apartment. But, Tareo was always in such a good mood. He didn't seem to be having issues with the other boys at school anymore. He mentioned three specific names regularly.
"Do you still see Garou?" she tried to come off as nonchalant as she could.
"Not everyday, but yeah, I saw him today. Why?"
"Just curious."
"We should go get soba again!"
"You got soba money?"
Tareo was silent for a moment before he giggled.
"Alright, clean up and get ready for bed okay?"
The moment her own head hit her pillow she dreamt of him.
Garou pressed her to the brown paint-chipped door. He towered over her. His golden eyes were red. She blinked, opening her eyes, he was gone. Her hands ached. She held them out in front of her seeing her palms littered with splinters.
It wasn't a good sleep to get her through the day. She rested her head on her fist, leaning on the counter, reading a book. Horror-romance. The bells on the door jingled. Without looking up she greeted the customer, "Welcome to Graveside Fiction. Let me know if you need help finding something."
"Try not to sound too excited to see me."
Aki looked up to see a tall silver haired man and broad shoulders, "Garou."
"The one and only," he said as he passed behind a row of bookshelves.
Aki stepped out from behind the register and followed him. Rounding the corner, he was gone.
"Miss me?" his voice could be heard from a few rows down.
"Not one bit," she found a book on the floor and picked it up, placing it back into its spot on the shelf.
"I think you're lying Aki," she could her the smirk in his voice.
Rounding the corner to where she thought she had heard his voice, she only found an empty row with a single book placed on the floor. She went to go picket up, hearing shuffling behind her. She turned around. No one was there.
"I know you missed me."
She exited the row and made left. Another empty row, another book placed on the floor.
"So what if I'm lying?" she called out.
"Shh, that isn't the type of voice you use in a store like this," a voice said right behind her.
She jumped, bumping into his warm chest.
"Hi Aki," he smiled down at her.
"Did you put all those books on the floor?"
"Me? No."
She brushed past him, making her way back to the register, "What brings you in?"
"I want a certain book."
"Hold on. I think we may have that one," she said, flipping him off. God, he loved her sarcasm. The tone of her voice deepened, she spoke a bit slower and it drove him crazy.
He leaned over the counter, running his finger along the side of her face, pushing a strand of hair out of the way, "I might have to go to another store since the clerk of this one is so rude."

Rude Girl {Garou x OC}
FanfictionI'm not buying this monster act. But okay Garou, get down with ya bad self. I really try to keep OC descriptions to a minimum. It's just easier to write with some idea of a character in mind.
