Aki stood in her kitchen as Tareo jumped around, yellow almanac in hand, "Please?! We didn't finish reading the new entries last weekend!"
"Okay fine. Homework first!"
"Yes!" Tareo pulled his fist down in victory. He would get to spend this weekend with his friends again.
He placed the yellow almanac on the kitchen counter and started on his homework.
Aki walked past the book, noticing that this was the 15th edition, "Where'd you get this version?"
"Mr. Garou!" he called out, focused on math, "My other copy got ruined. He bought this one to replace it."
She stared at the almanac and smiled.
Garou needed a break from training. He had plateaued. His brain and his body were on over drive. He couldn't declare war on the heroes just yet.
Instead, he pulled out his phone with a devious smile on his face. Pet Sematary. The Secret History. The Great Gatsby. Books without happy endings. Books where the villain, the monster, won. The pictures brought a comfort like no other. As Aki had picked each book up, he snapped a picture of her ass. Her slender legs and long black hair. She was too much. Even away from her, the smell of roses and patchouli lingered on his mind.
Just as he started to untie his belt, trying to loosen his pants that had grown tighter, a message appeared.
Tareo is at his friends all weekend. Any chance you're craving croissants like I am?
He flattened his waistband, feeling guilty. Not much, but the guilt was slightly there. He smiled and started typing.
10am ;)
He threw his phone aside but sleep didn't come. Garou tossed and turned thinking about more than a croissant in Aki's hands.
~~~
Buttery and flakey. She bit into the pastry, it was softer than she expected and practically melted in her mouth. Garou sat across from her, drinking a small cappuccino.
He could stare at her face for hours. He noticed some new detail each time that only made her more perfect.
"What do you wanna do today?" she asked, setting down the croissant with a tiny bite out of it.
"Wanna go for a walk by the river?"
She nodded, picking up the flakey pastry and taking another bite.
They walked, talked about everything under the sun.
Garou practiced martial arts. He said he was pretty decent, could be stronger. That's why he had a plan to start challenging the heroes.
"Why even bother with the heroes at all?"
"Because," he shrugged, holding his hands out, "I'd like to prove that they don't always a have to win."
She nodded, "So that's why you're always debating with Tareo?"
He chuckled, "Smart kid. He remembers even the smallest of details."
She turned to face him, stepping in front of him, "Don't take away this hobby from him."
"What do you mean?"
"Don't ruin heroes for him."
"But it's true," Garou said, "Heroes don't always need to win."
"For an eight-year-old, yeah, they do," her brows furrowed and her shoulders rolled back.
Garou sighed, she was perfect, "Yeah. Okay. You got my word."
They walked a bit more and the sun was starting to set.
Rude Girl {Garou x OC}
FanfictionI'm not buying this monster act. But okay Garou, get down with ya bad self. I really try to keep OC descriptions to a minimum. It's just easier to write with some idea of a character in mind.
