blow-up mattress. I hope my ma got the receipt so I can take this shit right back to Walmart and get a gift card.
"Yes, ma," I said in an annoyed tone. She walks into my room fully dressed I'm talking hair to the feet, okay purr. " watch your tone girly, and get dressed our plane leaves at 11:45, you got 2 hrs, oh and good morning my lovely daughter, you got breakfast sandwich downs stairs ".
My relationship with my mom is good I love her to death even tho she pisses me off sometimes and my dad his ass left me as soon I was born so yeah fuck his ass.

Today We're going back to Dallas Cause my mom got a new job that pays hella bands. We had everything packed and moved into our new house already. I was not upset about the move I was happy to finally be reunited with my best friend Lucas again. shit I was upset that we moved from the get-go.
I hear my phone vibrate to my left. I sit up rubbing the crust from my eyes and grabbing my phone I see a text from Lucus.

I went into the bathroom grabbed my toothbrush and started brushing my teeth. Do y'all put water then toothpaste or toothpaste then water? I washed my face and dried it and applied Vaseline. Not having to do my hair cause I had locs so I just sprayed water and brushed them.

I went inside my suitcase that I packed and grabbed some grey sweatpants and a black T-shirt, I put my clothes on and my slides. I put some deodorant and some chapstick on. Then put all my hygiene stuff back into my suitcase. I folded up my blow-up mattress and put it back in the box and stuffed it in my suitcase.
I found some way to fit that shit in there
"You ready my favorite child," my mom said as she walked into the room.
"You know I'm your only child right" I giggled
" yeah yeah come on our Uber here" she laughed. I went downstairs grabbed my sandwich went outside and put my stuff in the trunk hoping in the car.
An hour later...
North Carolina, Airport 11:30 am
"Plane 187 to Dallas texas has arrived please make sure you have all your belongings with you, thank you"
I grabbed my stuff boarded the plane and went to sit down in our seats. I took out my AirPods and turned on Sativa by Jhene Aiko and Rae Sremmurd, and sat back.
A Few Minutes later

"LANII if you don't take one of them AirPods out or turned down the music so u can hear me".
Now I know she did not just rip my AirPods out of my ear. I rolled my eyes and looked at her ." yeah ma"
" Who are you rolling your eyes at girl" she laughed
"Nobody," I chuckled
" sassy ass" " I enrolled you in school at Bayville".
"Ohh ok, do I start tomorrow?, " I asked
" yes, and Lucus goes there too"
I looked at her and smiled, I was glad she didn't enroll me in a school my best friend didn't go to. I sat back and closed my eyes soon falling to sleep.
3 hours later.....
Dallas, Texas Airport
I woke up to my mom tapping me on my shoulder. "we're here" I asked her.
"Yeah ".
I took out my air pods and put them up and did that whole little stretchy thing cracking my neck and shit and stood up to get off the plane. " where we supposed to get our suitcases " I asked my mom.
" at the baggage carousel ". She replied
" Oh ok," I said not knowing what the fuck that is mining this was my first time on a plane. Getting our suitcases we went to the lobby to sit down waiting for our Uber.
"Hey"
I looked up seeing this girl she was pretty but not my type. My mom looked at me smirked then went right back into her phone, probably on Facebook I laughed to myself.
" wassup," I said
" you fine ass hell, you single?" she asked

" I'm tryna see if you wanna be my new nigga" she said
My mom looked at me and laughed and said
"You tryna be her new nigga Lani" she laughed.
Now she tryna be funny.
" first of all, I'm not a nigga girly, and I'm good," I said with a little attitude cause this girl got me messed up.
" well you over her dressing like a boy so" she rolled her eyes
My mom hurry up and pulled me over
" our Uber here, " she said
" why you did that I was bout to beat shorty ass" I huffed
" I know Lani, I was close to beating her ass too, her ass being funny" she laughed
" but I ain't tryna be up in jail
for fighting up at the airport, " she said
We went to put our stuff in the trunk and hopped in the Uber I took out my Airpods and played nba young.
