"Ah, okay. I didn't check that well... my landlord should be on the way soon."
"I see..." he couldn't help but feel disappointed.

A few minutes went by as you and Peter sat in silence. He stared at the wall. But you couldn't help but notice that every once in a while, he stole a glance at you.
"So, uh, (Y/N)?"
"yeah?"
"... what're you gonna do when they find the culprit?" Peter scratched his neck, a bit too aggressively for normal, but you just assumed he was anxious.. this was a pretty scary situation.
"I don't know..." you said with a sigh.
Peter nodded and stared back at the wall. He moved onto scratching his forearms.
A couple minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
"Hello? (Y/N)..? Are you there?"
You sat up from the couch and walked over. Peter stood up with you. He didn't walk over though, he just watched.
You opened the door and greeted your landlord. "Oh.. hey... uh..." You stepped back from the door and gestured him into your apartment."
"Jeez, kid, don't you remember my name?" He seemed a bit annoyed.
"Uh.. sorry. I rarely ever see you."
"It's Don.. Don Williams. There's not really any time for exchanging pleasantries, though. I've got to take a look at the 'crime scene'." He looked over at Peter for a few moments but eventually walked into Lucy's room.
It wasn't even five seconds before he walked back out. "yep.. she's dead." Don looked... scarred. You'd never seen him like this.
"Yeah.. I know. That's why I called you.. are you alright, Don?" You gave him an anxious, yet reassuring smile.
You weren't the only one looking at Don, though. Peter was practically drilling holes into the side of his head. He had a grimace on his face as he stared at your landlord, his fist balled. he eventually sat back down on the couch and stared at the floor.
"I'm-" Don paused. "I'm gonna call the police.. you should've done so as soon as you found her.. they're probably gonna need to kick you out of the place for a few days. Do you have anyone to stay with?"
