Chapter one

"Mom please don't make a big deal out of it" l say as I look at mom who wasn't paying me any attention instead she is writing down the list of things she has to prepare for my birthday that is coming in one weeks time.

"Honey your making eighteen that's a big deal to any wolf and perhaps you might even meet your mate" she says still writing whatever she was writing.

"Okay bye am off to school" I say and kiss her cheek. I picked my bag to go school leaving mum to do her thing. It not like am not looking forward to my birthday but I don't want my mum to make a fuss about it and I also have a feeling I will not find my mate on that which is also a reason am not so eager for my birthday.

My name is Rayon Simons, am the third sibling in four kids that my parents decide to have. I have two twin big brothers , Regan and Robert. They are both at college in New York which is so far from here but they wanted to move from home and also find their mates because they didn't find them on their birthday. I also have a young sister who is only 12, but with a mind of an old person. She doesn't know how to mind her business so you always find her nose in your business.

I was forced to be close to her because of her nosiness where she was able to figure out I was gay before I even came in terms with it myself. I was oneday ogling and admiring the pic Chris Hemsworth because who wouldn't when she merged out of nowhere into my room saying 'I always knew you like boys' and from that day I have been close to her so that she doesn't say it to anyone before I come in terms with my own sexuality. I know my family will accept me with open hands and am planning on telling them about it before my birthday which is so soon

My family is not of any rank in the pack, we are just a normal werewolf family. I go to school on West high school with my best friend Marie who's also a wolf. I meet on the way to the bus stop since her house is the way to the bus stop. Yes I don't have a car because my parents think its not safe to let me drive.

"Hey Marie" I say when she comes out of her house. We hug while she greets me back.

"Dude i hate school" she says as we start walking towards the bus stop. "And do u know what I hate most..."

"Yes the bus you always make sure i know it everyday" I say making her roll her eyes. I chuckle while continuing "if u don't keep failing all your driving test you would have been driving now"

"Like you're any better" she says scoffing "anyway your birthday is coming any plan on how to spend it apart from being with your family of course" she continues

"I plan on going for a run around the park that's all" i say shrugging. I will go for a run so that i can maybe bump into my mate but I don't tell her that. She scoffs.

We reach the bus stop and wait it is supposed to here in five minutes
"There is this party Linda is throwing at her house on the weekend after your birthday I think we should go" she suggests "and your not saying no" she continues.

I want to argue with her but she gives the 'I dare you' eyes so I just sigh and bumble a 'okay'. Marie is a tiny person but scary in her own way and I would never want to hear her lectures on how I should enjoy my early age all the way to school.

"Rayon you know you have to get out sometime never know your mate might also be there" she said as we board the bus.

" yah whatever" I say

We reach school and head to our lockers to pick our books. As I was getting my book of English as its what am having for first period I hear commotion and that only indicates a fight is going on. I exchange a look with Marie and we head to the scene to see what's going on.

To say I wasn't suprised is understatement, the fight consisted of Blake and Lewis the badboys of the school and Lewis seemed like he's winning again as always. I don't know what the deal is between these two but they don't seem to like each other.

Lewis Clifford is the captain of basketball and he is known for his bad temper and badboy traits but he has also helped the school in winning alot of trophies in basketball. He is 6'6 tall and muscular and big and grumpy and scary which is enough to scream back off but that doesn't seem to reach Blake Walker's head. He is also the captain of football and he is also as big as Lewis but he is three inches shorter.

They continue fighting and finally Blake starts throwing back some punches and rolling the both of them so that he is on the top but we hear a teacher asking what's going on and why is there a commotion. Most of the students run away so that they are not involved in the saga but I remain with some other few and Marie.

"You two again" the teacher says as he tries to break them off with the help of the boys teammates. "Both of you to the principals' office now" he order. Blake's face is all bruised badly but keeps glaring at Lewis who has slight damage and he's having a smirk directed to the other boy.

Blake was the first to go Lewis following after and we made eye contact causing him to stop and just look at me. There was something with his look that left me puzzled and scared that I have looked at for him long and it will get me i problems but I didn't back down. It only lasts for seconds but It feels like hours and he is gone.
I remain there asking myself what just happened while Marie is telling me to go to class before I get late.
