I woke up to my alarm. I reach for it and turn it off then go in the bathroom to prepare my self for the day. I look at my self in the mirror and smile.
"Happy birthday to me" I say.
I walk out of the bathroom to my closet to pick an outfit not that i have so much to pick from but i want to look good on my birthday. After deciding what to wear i re-enter the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth. After dressing up and spraying some cologne i leave my bedroom to go meet my family downstairs. On entering the kitchen I was attacked with a hug and kisses from mum.
"Happy birthday honey" she says through kisses which I try to resist by blocking my face "ohh my baby is all grown look at you" she says looking at me with teary eyes
"Thank mum but your making me feel old" I say hugging her and kissing her cheek. Dad comes in the kitchen all dressed up for work at the pack house
"Happy birthday buddy" he says patting my shoulder
"Thank you Dad" I say smiling at him
"Okay oney sit i have made you your favorite for breakfast today" mum says as she slides a plate full of waffles with honey and scrambled eggs infront of me while am sitting down making my mouth water at the sight. She does the same to Dad and we dive in after thanking her. Halfway through Emmy emergs in the kitchen.
"Happy birthday loser" she says smacking my head then sitting next to me.
" why did you do that" l ask glaring at her. She just shrugs and dive in her food mum has placed infront of her. I also went back to finishing my food.
When I finish i say goodbye to my parents with mum saying I should bring some friends for my birthday celebration after school. Ignore my sister who was complaining about me not saying goodbye to her. I walk out of the door and decide to check my phone on my way to Marie's. I find messages for my brothers and Jacob! which surprised because how can he remember my birthday. I open my brothers message first
Robert: Happy birthday baby bro your now a grown man
: I wish you find your mate. Love ya
Regan: Happy birthday bro welcome to Adulthood may you find your mate. Love you
I smile at there messages and send them each a thank you then open Jacob's messages which was simple
Jacob: Happy birthday Rayon
I sent him a thank you smiling but I wasn't blushing which meant that am all over the crush I used to have on him. I pocket my phone as i near Marie's house and I think she was waiting for me because the moment I step into her driveway view she comes out of her house running. She throw herself at me with a hug that squeezed air out of me because of the force she used leaving me wondering where she gets that energy given she's small.
"Happy birthday Rayon I can't believe your now eighteen where did the time go" she dramatically says as she wipes invisible tears. I roll my eyes
"Am basically older than you i should be the one wondering where the time has gone " i say as a matter of fact
"Shut up six months is not old enough" it was her time to roll her eyes. "By the way are you ready to meet your mate" she continues
"Yes who wouldn't be ready" I say as we continue our way to the bus stop while talking about the gifts she is going to give me i also tell her about Jacob's messages which she says its not surprising because she thinks he can't resist me because am cute.
We reach school and I go to my locker to get my books while Marie heads to the bathroom to fix her makeup which was okay if your wondering then am hit with the most amazing scent of apples with a bit of nicotine and sandalwood but its faint . I stop in my truck and look around to see the source of the scent but i didn't locate any so I decide to follow the scent and that was leading me to parking lot and then I spotted him making me stop immediately.
'No' is the first thing that comes to my head because i haven't just found my mate to a human but also he is Lewis Clifford of all people. I stand there looking at him but not from far and where am standing if he just turns his head a bit he will be able to see me.
He is with the teammates. They were talking well his friends were talking and he was just listening while smoking as if feeling eyes on him he started looking around and then his eyes fell on me. It was like i was in a truce because I got stuck there and everyone seemed to disappear.
His feature seemed to enhance even from afar he was so beautiful that it made my wolf stir. He started approaching me and I started panicking. Then to my luck the bell ran and I hurried to class without looking back to see if he is still coming.
I was sitting in class absentminded thinking of why doesn't have to be him of all people and how am going to tell me all about this mate and if he will accept it's just so much on my head that I don't hear the bell. I collected my books to go for my next class but stopped when am hit buy that scent again. I looked up and he was standing in the doorway with hands in his pockets looking at me intensely. I looked down and started fumbling with my bag.
He started approaching me causing me to panic till he was right infront of me. I mastered all the courage i had and I looked up damn he is tall, he looks down at me like he is trying to figure out something. He has the most beautiful green eyes that i have ever seen. He just stands there looking at me and I don't make any move to talk but just admire my mate who doesn't even know that he is my other half.
And then the bell ran which meant am late for my class and i use that as an excuse to leave where I scrambled to pick my books and my bag and run to class leaving him there.
