Scarlett

Scarlett was in the ship when Spider was shoved in there. "What happened?" she asked.

Just then, they heard faint cries. Scarlett looked outside to see a group of Na'vi, in the distance. "The battle is coming." Spider said.

Scarlett looked out to see Quaritch talking into a device. Then, he grabbed a gun, and pointed it to the oldest-looking Na'vi on the deck. Scarlett knew that he was threatening Jake Sully.

A figure moved closer to the ship. "That's Jake Sully." Scarlett said. Spider ran to the window and watched the scene unfold.

The figure moved closer, and they saw the unmistakable blue of forest Na'vi. Scarlett looked at the ocean floor, and thought that she saw something moving.

It was bringing up clouds of ocean floor sand and it was as big as a tulkun. Was it a tulkun?

The figure moved a bit closer, and the creature disappeared. Suddenly, a splash of water appeared, and a tulkun came out of it, and landed right on deck.

Scarlett and Spider tumbled back and forth. Everyone started to run back and forth. People on deck started to shoot the tulkun, but the small bullets did nothing to its thick skin.

Someone shot a giant missile at it, but it ducked, the hard part of its head deflating it to hit a part of the deck. The tulkun wiggled off the ship, causing damage to whatever was in its way.

Scarlett looked around. People were yelling out comands, running back and forth. In the crowd, she lost track of Spider. That was until people started to yell louder.

Apparently, Spider had grabbed a fire extinguisher and was pushing the levers, that she showed him, forward. He was using the fire extinguisher to make sure that the levers were bent forward, knocking out anyone who tried to stop him.

Finally, a group of people pulled him back, while two other people were trying to undo the damage.

It was too late.

The ship was headed towards some rocks at full speed. It hit them with such force that everyone fell backwards. Scarlett had hitted her head on the table, causing a loud ringing in her ears.

"Ow." she whispered. She closed her eyes, and opened them wide.

She saw a groups of people evacuating the ship. She realized that the impact was causing the ship to sink. A group of people had gathered around Spider, going to guard him as he was leaving the boat.

Scarlett followed them outside, securing a life jacket and her mask. She saw Spider turn around to look at her, and mouthed "Thanks." She just nodded, feeling grateful to help without being caught.

They all were headed to the boats, which could free them. In the distance, at the water, she saw Na'vi killing humans left and right. The tulkun that was on the ship earlier was doing the same to Mick's crew.

Suddenly, two Na'vi kids fell from the ceiling, attacking the group that surrounded Spider. One of them was the Na'vi boy who was one of the hostages, while the other was someone new, but looks similar to him. Probably his brother.

Scarlett felt a tight grip on her shoulder, someone removing her life jacket, and a knife to her neck. She turned around to see Lyle, Quaritch's second-in-comand.

"Hey!" Spider yelled. "Let her go!" The two Na'vi boys were behind him, looking dangerous but probably has no idea why Spider is defending a girl that they don't know about.

"Surrender, or watch her die." Lyle said, edging the knife closer.

Spider looked torn. Scarlett knew that he can't ask his friends to surrender for a girl they barely know, but he can't just let her die.

This showed how much Spider cared about her. Scarlett felt that old feeling when they first met. The feeling to do something to help him become free.

She had an idea. An insane idea, but it could work. What about your sister? a voice inside her asked.

My sister will be fine. she thought. She would want me to do this.

For the first time, Scarlett seemed to remember how hesitant her sister was to let her go. The tears. The sadness.

This is the right thing to do.

The thing to do after working for Quaritch. For the bad guys.

And so, Scarlett stomped on Lyle's foot. He loosened his grip with surprise, letting Scarlett escape his hold. Before he could grab her again, she snatched the knife out of his grasp.

And, with a deep breath, she aimed the knife and drove it into her stomach.

She is still alive, don't worry.
