"What's the latest update on your invention, Sabria?"
I turned my gaze right on the woman who's standing next to me. It's Mrs. Coreen Rodriguez- the owner of this company. I gave her a small smile before I uttered a word.
"It's almost finished, Ma'am."
I saw how her lips formed a curve upward. "May I see?"
I accompanied her to our designated place. There, my other fellows were busy doing their respective tasks. I took a glance at our invention.
"Ano pa ba ang kulang para matapos na 'yan?" She suddenly asked.
I gulped. "Pinoprogram pa po kasi ni Gail, Ma'am." I referred to Gail, who's a Software Developer. She's the one who's in charge of developing softwares on a specific robotic device. "After that, we can turn it on and check if it's working fine."
Gail is busy programming something on her computer. We prepared for this for a very long time, so I'm hoping for the best.
"I see," She said while roaming around in our room. Since I'm busy working, too, I went back to work.
"Chris!" I called him who's now busy repairing a piece of machine that will be connected to our invention. Chris is our Robotic Technician, who tests and repairs the machines.
He leaned to face me. "Nagkamali ako sa pagkaka-kabit ng wires. But it's almost done. I'll attach this later once I'm already finished."
I just nodded and went back to the computer to look again at my design. Everything's already settled. We're just finishing the final touches so that we can activate our invention.
After a few hours, we're still here in this huge room, doing our own tasks. I'm a bit sleepy so I went to the nearest vending machine to buy some coffee.
"Sab! Tapos na!" Those are the words that I heard when I stepped in this room. I immediately ran towards Gail's direction. She seems excited, but I can feel her nervousness.
With a wide smile plastered on my face, I went to the center and there, I saw him- together with those wires and cables that are attached on his body for support.
We removed all of the cables and wires around him. I looked at this guy. He looks like us, too. I smiled because of that.
"Turn it on." I said, eyes glued on Chris. Within an instant, he suddenly pushed the on button, which made this guy open his hazel eyes and stood up. He looked at us, before saying those words that made us scream in joy.
"Robot X3V, now operating."
As time passes by, I can say that he is good. That robot is really good. We programmed and created him very well. We did a lot of tests just to make sure if we really succeeded upon making this one.
Because of that invention, our team got promoted. As the leader of the group, I was given tons of opportunities after that project.
And I don't know if it's a good thing, because. . .
"There you are, Sabria," A baritone voice says. I faced him and there, I saw Mr. Liam Rodriguez- Ma'am Coreen's husband. I gave him a small smile.
"Actually, I'm here to give you this," He gave me tons of papers that he's holding.
I took a glance at the papers that I'm holding now. What are these for?
"Read those papers and give me a report about it. The deadline will be in three days."
I didn't have the time to react because he suddenly walked away. I blinked my eyes before glancing again on the papers.
"Ang dami naman," I complained.
