Friends: Sonnet doesn't really have much of a social life, she's too busy as a cook and upcoming restaurant owner to make random friends. But she's good acquaintances with everyone she talks to. She's extremely nice to everyone, and considers her kitchen staff her friends. Plus her old friends from Italy.
Enemies: Sonnet doesn't really have enemies. She has some bad relationships with people in her past and her past employees, but not enough to consider them enemies.
Personality: Sonnet is the definition of tough love. She was raised by her loving yet tough grandmother, and she lives by what she was taught. She will push everyone she knows to do the best they can and will always be their number one supporter. Random homeless guy she just met that asked for a dollar? She'll be back the next day with job applications and a bit of cash for a hotel and clothes. Sonnet has a huge heart, yet has a bit of a bite. She's a beastkin after all, and she has animalistic instincts, but it only comes down to it in a fight or flight situation. So most of the time, she's as sweet as can be.
However, the other part of the time, she's a total nightmare. Sonnet truly is a force to be reckoned with once her switch is flipped. She will become aggressive, loud, vulgar, and physical.
Sonnet is an extremely trusting girl, she grew up in a secluded village with other beastkin and stayed there most of her life, only recently having moved to Canada to start up her business.
Secret(s): Sonnet was apart of the Mafia for a short time, only her ex-fiancé and his father knew.
Weapon(s): Her teeth and claws, but she doesn't ever fight unless it's a must, even when she's in her aggressive state of mind.
Teeth and claws reference-
Likes/Obsession: Sonnet loves to cook, read, write, lay out in the sun, her home town, her grandma, dark places, and baking.
Dislikes: Loud places/noises (it hurts Sonnet's ears), rude people, her mother, getting a recipe wrong, and people giving up.
Fears: Someone finding out she's a beastkin, she was always told and raised to hide it, even if it is accepted in this day and age. And dystychiphobia, the fear of having an accident and it disturbing her life. As a chef, the idea of making an accident scares her, but the thought of something messing up in her life as well scares her just as much.
Lover/crush: "Fox"
Backup crush: Derek or Mason
Bio: Sonnet grew up in a small beastkin village in Italy and was raised by her grandma. Her mother had her at a young age, leaving her with Elana. She was raised and taught how to cook, bake, and all of the essentials.
Sonnet grew to love cooking as she grew up, and wanted to learn more and more. She learned from her grandma how to cook the best Italian dishes, and even sold them to the beastkin in the village.
In her late teens, she began to pursue a love interest with another beastkin in her village, Matteo. He was another silver fox like her, and they had grown up together. Unknown to Sonnet, Matteo was the son of an underboss in the mafia, who was raised in the village to protect him from any enemies of the family. Once Matteo was older, he soon became associated with the mafia and his father— and Sonnet, being his girlfriend, went with him. So she was as involved in numerous petty crimes and went through a phase of causing crimes and working for the mafia. Thankfully she was never in legal trouble.
Sonnet and Matteo eventually got engaged— and it was soon broke off. Sonnet wanted to make something of her life and be a cook, while Matteo simply wanted her to stay home and out of harms way. As his position in the mafia, he had multiple enemies who would look to harm her, and her being in a field where it involved tons of people. As Matteo truly loved Sonnet and wanted her happy, he let her go and pursue her dream, yet he regretted that decision once she had left Italy.
She left Italy once she turned 22, and went to a culinary school and took business classes. Once she got her certificate, she got a job at a nice steak house while she's planning on starting her own restaurant.
~Extras~
•Being a beastkin helps her when she cooks because she can smell how cooked the meat is and she gets it perfect every time.
•When Sonnet has her ears and tail out, she has black, elongated triangles under her eyes.
