the air felt the exact same,

it was perfect,

cousins beach was perfect.

brielle mitchell who went by bri to her friends, had been coming to cousins with the fishers and conklins since forever.

the fisher boys waited in the beach house as the conklins arrived, and soon after brielle and her mom sasha pulled into the driveway,

sasha hopped out of the car to greet the two moms who were motioning her inside,

jeremiah ran outside and immediately picked up bri.

"jere! put me down," she shrieked,

"damn bri you look different," the girl turned to see steven walking up to her

"Stevie!" she screamed jumping up to hug him,

he put his hand on her head, which he knew she liked.

after she had let go, she immediately saw belly, her best friend since she was about five.

"ISABEL DAMN CONKLIN ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" the girl yelled after seeing the girls developed beauty,

belly had always been beautiful to brielle, but this summer she was the it girl,

belly giggled as the two hugged,

"so, where's connie at? i haven't gotten all my welcome hugs in!" brielle asked rocking back and forth

the girl didn't know this, but steven was watching her as she carelessly swing side to side.

"he's been in hibernation ever since he quit football,"

"wait he quit?" steven finally spoke, taking his eyes off of brielle,

"yea he's been a douche ever since."

"we'll im saying hi," brielle said suddenly, trotting off inside her second home.

brielle knocked on the door, hoping to see conrad's face immediately

"what do you want?"

"wow, that's not a good way to greet your favourite person ever!" she teased, creaking the door open,

"oh shit, sorry bri i didn't know it was you," he said, but brielle didn't care, she went in for a hug.

"i've missed you," he muttered, and after he said it he prayed she didn't hear him.

to his luck, she didn't.

"anyways, i'm going to go for a swim! come down, pleaseee," she pouted, skipping into her and belly's room.
